Das Album mit elf Tracks wurde im Herbst 2021 im Studio 606 in Northridge, Kalifornien, und Toochtoon Sound in Redmond, Oregon, mit dem Produzenten und langjährigen BSR-Mitarbeiter Jay Ruston aufgenommen.

Black Star Riders haben kürlich bekannt gegeben, dass von nun an Sam Wood neuer Gitarrist der Band ist. Er ersetzt Christian Martucci.

Schon das 5. Album dieser für mich tollen Band.Und immer noch klingt das ganze NICHT abgedroschen,nicht langweilig!Und immer noch macht es mir SPASS,die Songs zu hören.DENN..die Herrschaften haben immer wieder musikalische Ideen,die sie auf ihre tolle Art umsetzen!Besonders die Vocals von Ricky Warwick haben dieses gewisse ETWAS:Nämlich einen Wiedererkennungswert,den viele Sänger einfach nicht haben.UND..dass das ganze insich RUND klingt hat für mich auch noch einen anderen Grund:Es gab in der Vergangenheit nicht allzu viele Besetzungswechsel (hab nachgeschaut)!Da ist etwas gewachsen!Und das merkt man dem Material auch an!Zusammenfassend:Da sind Leute am Start,die "ES" einfach können!Wobei ich natürlich niemandem sein KÖNNEN absprechen möchte!Allerdings sind die Black Star Riders für mich musikalisch ganz besonders!Auch dieses 5. Album kann ich euch wärmstens empfehlen!Auch,weil man jedes Album + dem Neuen auch noch gern in 10 Jahren hören kann,ohne es man es schlechtfinden könnte!

SCREAMER - Kingmaker

Es sind die Spielfreude, die physisch greifbare Intensität ihrer Musik und eine unbändige Vitalität, die Screamer seit je her auszeichnen. Die schwedische Band um Sänger Andreas Wikström profitiert unüberhörbar von ihrer enormen Energie, verbunden mit einem ideenund abwechslungsreichen Songwriting. Diese gewinnbringende Mischung hat seit 2011 bereits zu vier Studioalben und einer Live-Scheibe geführt. Ihr neuestes Werk heißt ‚Kingmaker‘ und erscheint am 13. Januar 2023 über Steamhammer/SPV. Wie schon die Vorgängerscheiben glänzt auch ‚Kingmaker‘ mit einer Fülle an Songs in der Einflugschneise zum klassischen Heavy Metal, wie er seit den frühen 1980ern aus unserem Leben nicht mehr wegzudenken ist.
Gleichzeitig kündigt Screamer-Schlagzeuger Henrik Petersson das bislang reifste und fokussierteste Album seiner Band an. Er sagt: „Auf ‚Kingmaker‘ haben wir unseren typischen Stil weiter verfeinert und die Essenz unserer Stärken herausgearbeitet.“
Gegründet wurde Screamer 2009 in Ljungby, einer Kleinstadt zwischen Malmö und Göteborg. Mit ihren bisherigen Studioalben ‚Adrenaline Distractions‘ (2011), ‚Phoenix‘ (2013) ‚Hell Machine‘ (2017) und ‚Highway Of Heroes‘ (2019) hat die fünfköpfige Gruppe unmissverständliche Statements aus dynamischen Riffs, geschmackssicheren TwinGitarren, druckvollen Grooves und tiefmelodischen Gesängen abgeliefert. Weit mehr als 300 Konzerte stehen mittlerweile auf der Habenseite von Screamer, inklusive umjubelter Shows bei wichtigen Festivals wie ‚Headbangers Open Air‘, ‚Rock Hard Open Air‘, ‚Summer Breeze‘,‚Bang Your Head‘ oder ‚Muskelrock‘.
Ein repräsentatives Dokument ihrer nachgewiesenen Bühnenqualitäten ist im Januar 2021 erschienen: ‚Live Sacrifice‘ mit Aufnahmen von Konzerten zwischen Herbst 2019 und Frühjahr 2020 in ganz Europa. An all dies knüpft ‚Kingmaker‘ nahtlos an.Denn neue Songs wie ‚Renegade‘, ‚Chasing The Rainbow‘ oder ‚Hellfire‘ könnten kaum typischer für Screamer sein.
Petersson: „Darüber hinaus zeigen sie, worum es bei uns diesmal geht, musikalisch wie auch inhaltlich. Normalerweise handeln unsere Texte vom Leben auf Tournee, vom Spaß am Heavy Metal und den damit verbundenen Erlebnissen.“
Aber mit ‚The Traveler‘ gibt es diesmal auch einen für Screamer eher untypischen,melancholischen Track. „Zudem findet man auf ‚Kingmaker‘ sozialkritische Ansätze wie etwa in ‚Ashes And Fire‘, und Fantasy-Einflüsse beispielsweise in ‚Sounds Of The Night‘, die man als kleine Abenteuerstorys bezeichnen kann“, fügt Sänger Andreas Wikström hinzu.
Apropos Wikström: Er ist nicht nur die Stimme von Screamer, sondern auch ihr Haupttexter,mit einem sicheren Instinkt für großartige Refrains. Ebenfalls zu den langjährigen Mitgliedern
gehören Gitarrist Dejan Rosić, der von seinen Kollegen als „Riff-Maschine und bosnischen Santana“ charakterisiert wird, und Bassist Fredrik Svensson Carlström („auf der Bühne ist Fredrik ein echtes Tier!“). Als Gründer ist Schlagzeuger Henrik Petersson zugleich Manager und das organisatorische Rückgrat der Band. Neu zum Screamer-Camp gehört Gitarrist Jon Morheim, ein wahrer Riffmeister, der mit seinen großen technischen Fähigkeiten die Band auf ein noch höheres spielerisches Niveau katapultiert.
Diese Fünf haben all ihr Talent, ihre Erfahrung und ihre weiterhin großen Ambitionen in die Waagschale geworfen und schicken nun mit ‚Kingmaker‘ das stärkste Album ihrer bisherigen
Laufbahn ins Rennen. Bevor die Scheibe am 13. Januar 2023 das Licht der Welt erblickt,erscheint bereits am 16. September 2022 die erste Vorabsingle ‚Kingmaker‘, am 28. Oktober
2022 folgt ‚Hellfire‘, am 9. Dezember 2022 ‚The Traveler‘, inklusive aufwändiger Videoclips zu allen drei Songs. Die Vorbereitungen zu den Festivitäten sind also in vollem Gange, um

Kommen wir gleich auf den Punkt:Es ist für mich KEIN schlechtes Album!UND JA...es klingt insich Rund.Nennt es von mir aus auch erwachsen!ABER...für meine Ohren "plätschert" das ganze Material so vor sich hin.Es überzeugt mich nicht wirklich!Wie gesagt:Es ist KEIN schlechtes Album!Es ist gut strukturiert,hat gut arrangierte und komponierte Songs,ist gut gemischt worden im Studio!Aber packt mich nicht.Klar...die Songs sind abwechslungsreich und hier und dort hör ich interessante Passagen.Aber das war es dann auch schon!

percussion), alongside some guest appearances.
Departure is the first release of Black Cat Moan's new material, following a long hiatus since releasing their debut album. Most tracks are straight forward rock numbers but the diversity of
the band's material also comes across in songs like the title track. All tracks are written by Black Cat Moan except for the final track Lonely You which is a cover of UK's Badfinger,
originally released in 1974.
In 1991, Black Cat Moan released their highly acclaimed eponymous debut album. As stated by Kerrang! when the album was released, "Black Cat Moan trade in ample, sumptuous riffs, sewn
by professional hands into a bed of powerful chord progressions and melodies". Recorded in Norway, the album's 70th inspired blues-based hard rock received great reviews in Scandinavia
and abroad. "One of Swedish hard rock's best debut albums ever" according to one of its reviews.
Upon release of the album the band toured extensively in Sweden and established a strong following. However, during the recording of the follow-up album, their record label ran into
financial difficulties and the recording was never completed. The band carried on, touring and writing new material, but a few years later the band was put on hold, except for giving a few
reunion concerts.
During the time when the band was put on hold, the love for the band and its music always remained, and in 2018 the founding members Lars Isaksson, Jörgen Lantto and Bo Åström
started to write and record new material, similar in style as the debut album but simply better on all accounts.

Etwas Blues,etwas Rock!Grundsätzlich eine GUTE Mischung!So auch hier!Was die Herrschaften musikalisch draufhaben,wird auch auf der Bühne gut abgehen.Davon bin ich überzeugt!
Das Album finde ich ganz interessant umgesetzt!Wobei ich den Gesamtsound für ETWAS "dünn" halte.Da fehlt mir in der Gsamtheit des Sounds der "WUMMS"!Leider klingt das für meine Ohren nicht knackig genug!Das finde ich dann doch etwas schade...
Grundsätzlich bekomm ich aber so einige musikalische "Perlen" zu hören,die Klasse klingen!Ein musikalisch abwechslungsreiches und zeitloses Album,welches in keinen gut sortierten Album-Schrank fehlen sollte!

DARK SARAH - ATTACK OF THE ORYM

Dark Sarah ist eine finnische Melodic-Metal-Band, die von Sängerin Heidi Parviainen gegründet wurde. Sie begann mit der Arbeit an Dark Sarahs Debütalbum Behind the Black Veil, nachdem sie 2012 die Entscheidung getroffen hatte, ihre alte Band Amberian Dawn zu verlassen. Dark Sarahs Stil kann als melodischer und cineastischer Metal beschrieben werden. Die Alben sind Konzeptalben, die eine fortlaufende Geschichte erzählen. Die ersten drei Alben Behind The Black Veil, The Puzzle und The Golden Moth bilden die Trilogie The Chronicles. Zu jedem Album wurde auch ein kurzes Buch geschrieben, um das immersive Erlebnis zu unterstützen.
Dark Sarah hat mittlerweile vier Studioalben veröffentlicht (Behind The Black Veil, The Puzzle, The Golden Moth, Grim) und jedes einzelne wurde per Crowdfunding auf Indiegogo finanziert und erhielt die volle Unterstützung der Fans. Dark Sarah werden ihr fünftes Studioalbum Attack Of Orym, das ebenfalls vollständig über Indiegogo finanziert wurde, am 27. Januar 2023 veröffentlichen. In den zehn Jahren haben sich Dark Sarah eine starke Fangemeinde in Europa erspielt und sich einen festen Platz in der Symphonic Metal- und Melodic Metal-Szene gesichert.
In Finnland tourte die Band bereits mit Sonata Arctica und unterstützten Within Temptation in Oulu. Außerdem traten sie auf Festivals wie dem Metal Female Voices Fest in Belgien, dem Brainstorm Festival in den Niederlanden, dem John Smith Festival und dem Tuska Festival in Finnland auf.

Nun ja...Ich hab DAS irgendwie schon SO OFT irgendwo anders gehört...NÄMLICH von anderen Bands!Sicherlich ist die Band auf einem guten musikalischem Level anzusiedeln!Aber wie bereits erwähnt,habe ich DAS von anderen Bands auch schon gehört!Womit ich jetzt NICHT sagen möchte,DARK SARAH kopieren andere Bands.DAS liegt mir völlig fern!Aber nach ein paar Sekunden des hörens der einzeln Nummern,weiß ich quasi,wie die jeweilige Nummer weitergeht!Schade!
Die Herrschaft können mit ihren Instrumenten "umgehen".Und vieles klingt auch sehr interessant...Der Sound,der im Studio ist allerdings Klasse.!Super Arbeit!
Tja...und leider-ohne das ich das nun böse meine!) find ich die Vocals etwas dünn...ABER deutlich ist sie mit ihrer Aussprache!

Autumn's Child - Starflower

Mikael Erlandsson needs no further introduction when it comes to melodic rock.
He has released six successful solo albums and a lot of titles with groups like Phenomena, Salute among others. Between 2006-2018 Erlandsson fronted the Swedish super group Secret Service which he toured with live all over the world.
Together with the fantastic guitar player Andy Malecek from the successful German hard rock band Fair Warning he founded the band LAST AUTUMNS DREAM in 2003 which also featured Ian Haugland, Mic Michaeli and John Leven of Europe fame at the time.
Last Autumn’s Dream went on releasing another 14 albums with different line ups including great musicians like Jamie Borger (Treat) and Marcel Jacob (Talisman).
They toured Japan, England and Germany but decided to take a break in 2018.Shortly after, Erlandsson founded the group AUTUMN’S CHILD who have released three extremely successful albums so far (“Autumn’s Child” – 2019,“Angel’s Gate” – 2020, “Zenith” – 2022).
January 2023 sees Autumn's Child returning with their fourth album “Starflower”,their second release via Pride & Joy Music. The group still features Michael Erlandsson on vocals, keyboards & guitars, Pontus Åkesson on lead guitar,Robban Bäck on drums, Claes Andreasson on piano and Magnus Rosen on bass.

Liv Sin - KaliYuga

Back in 2016 vocalist Liv Jagrell, known worldwide as the frontwoman for Sister Sin, let the music world know that she had formed a new band. LIV SIN, driven by massive guitar riffs
and a heavy modern metal sound released their debut album “Follow Me” in 2017. Their second album, “Burning Sermons” was released in 2019. Both albums spawned multiple
popular singles such as Let me Out and Blood Moon Fever.
Fast forward to 2023, after a two-year down period and revamped line-up, LiV SiN is now completely recharged and ready to hit the stages again. Not forgetting the record shops’ racks, with their new album, “KaliYuga”. “KaliYuga” referring to the fourth of the four “Yugas” in Hinduism, the era precisely dedicated to the present age, full of conflict and… sin. The theme of Kali Yuga was also reflected in the album’s writing process.
“Since we produced this album ourselves, we definitely tried out a lot of new things, and I confess, I went a bit crazy with the vocals in certain parts”, Liv declares.
Musically, “Kali Yuga” is LiV SiN, on steroids! Jagrell explains how the creative process developed into an energetic and varied set of songs: “We took influences from everywhere,from newer metal acts such as Architects, Parkway Drive to vocal inspiration from King Diamond. I am ecstatic with the outcome”.
With such an album in hands, LiV SiN could only pick a production team that would do justice to the songs. Simon Johansson (from Wolf and Memory Garden fame) and Mike Wead (King Diamond and Mercyful Fate axeman) were summoned to record the album,while the mix and mastering duties were delivered to console-wizard Tue Madsen (Witchery,The Haunted, At The Gates, etc). A winning team for a strong and cohesive album that will for sure kick off 2023 in a true heavy way.

Hm...sicherlich kein schlechtes Album...aber für mich auch nicht DER ÜBERFLIEGER!Grundätzlich,so mein Empfinden,wird das Teil hier durch die Vocals getragen!Feuer in der Stimme ist ja ok!ABER mir ist das einfach zuviel!Musikalisch...naja...das haut mich nicht wirklich um und langweilt mich ziemlich,weil ich wirkliche Höhepunkte vermisse!Der Gesamtsound ist Druckvoll,aber wirkt auf mich wie eine Suppe.Sorry für die ehrlichen Worte!ES haut mich nicht um!

Iggy Pop - Every Loser

Er ist der „Godfather of Punk“, der selbsterklärte „Typ ohne Shirt, der rockt“ oder ganz einfach: Iggy Pop. Heute veröffentlicht die US-Ikone ihr neues Album „Every Loser“ über Atlantic Records/Gold Tooth Records. Wie fieberhaft es erwartet wurde, zeigten vorab die zahllosen Berichte in Publikationen wie der New York Times, Esquire und Associated Press oder hierzulande DPA, stern, Süddeutsche Zeitung u.v.m. Vorab hatten die Songs „Frenzy“ (von der New York Times bejubelt als „buzz-bombing, hard-riffing rock”) und zuletzt „Strung Out Johnny“ bereits mächtig Lust auf mehr gemacht. Nun bekommen wir mehr – mit insgesamt 11 Tracks (vollständiges Tracklisting siehe unten).
Am Montag (9. Januar) hat sich Iggy Pop zudem als musikalischer Gast bei „Jimmy Kimmel Live!“ angekündigt. Und er kommt nicht allein: seine neue Band The Losers wird mit ihm auf der Bühne stehen, deren All-Star-Lineup aus Andrew Watt, Chad Smith, Duff McKagan und Josh Klinghoffer besteht.
Mit Drummer Chad Smith wird Iggy Pop in der nächsten Zeit auch in anderer Mission unterwegs sein: Als Special Guest begleitet er die Red Hot Chili Peppers auf ihrer internationalen Stadiontournee und spielt dabei auch einen Termin in Deutschland (26. Juni, Mannheim, Maimarktgelände). Zuvor wird Iggy Pop selbst eine Reihe von Headliner-Shows in den USA bestreiten: Ab dem 20. April ist er an der amerikanischen Westküste unterwegs und spielt vier Konzerte (Regent Theater und Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, Masonic Theater in San Francisco und The Pearl in Las Vegas). IGGY POP...Der Mann haut hier wie gewohnt ein HAMMER - Album raus...EINFACH NUR WOWWW!!!Was anderes kann er auch nicht.Ich mag ihn...schon über Jahre hin!IGGY POP ist anders,war anders und wird immer anders sein,als andere Künstler!So kommt NIE LANGWEILE auf und man mag sich immer gern überraschen lassen,welchen Titel er raushaut oder wie das nächste Album klingt :Klingt es nach IGGY POP?Klingt er jetzt anders?NEIN!"Anders" klingen geht schon mal garnicht-denn es ist IGGY POP...Es klingt vielleicht etwas seltsam:IGGY POP war und ist für mich ein ""Kunstwerk"!Wenn ich ihn sehe-das hat Ausdruck...Seine Stimme ist beruhigend und auch wieder aufweckend!Fragt mich nicht,wieso das so ist!Ich mag den Ausdruck "Lebende Legende" nicht so.Aber für mich ist er es!

Beyond The Black können auf eine imposante Erfolgsgeschichte zurückblicken: Schon mit ihrem Debüt im Jahr 2015 schlug die Band um Sängerin Jennifer Haben ein wie eine Bombe. „Songs Of Love And Death“ hielt sich wochenlang in den Top 15 der Charts und brachte den renommierten „Metal Hammer“-Award in der Kategorie „Bestes Debüt“ ein.
Auch der Nachfolger „Lost In Forever“ konnte 2016 direkt daran anknüpfen, ging auf Chart-Platz 4 und führte Beyond The Black auf eine Mammut-Tour durch Deutschland, Großbritannien über Russland bis nach Japan. Seit 2014 begeisterte die Band ihre Fans bei immer größer werdenden Auftritten auf dem Wacken Open Air und war gefeierter Support-Act für Bands wie Aerosmith, Korn, Scorpions, Saxon und Within Temptation.
Im Herbst 2019 folgte die erste eigene Europatour als Headliner – zum Großteil ausverkauft. Ihre musikalische Klasse über Genregrenzen hinweg hat Sängerin und Frontfrau Jennifer Haben zudem in Deutschlands erfolgreichstem Musikformat „Sing meinen Song“ bewiesen. Eine Erfolgsgeschichte, die mit Chart-Platz #3 für das vierte Studioalbum „Horizons“ gekrönt wurde.
Heute, zwei Jahre später, sind Beyond the Black zurück mit einem Knall und starten ein neues Kapitel. Nach den gefeierten Singles „Reincarnation“ und „Is There Anybody Out There“ kündigt die Band ihr neues, fünftes Studioalbum an, das selbstbetitelt „Beyond the Black“ heißen und am 13. Januar 2023 erscheinen wird!
Die Pre-Order beginnt ab sofort und wird von der neuen, düster-kraftvollen Single „Winter Is Coming“ eingeläutet, die den richtigen Ton für die bis dato größte Headline-Europatournee der Band setzt. Beginnend am 06. Oktober in Wien.

Mittlerweile kann man meiner Meinung nach Beyond the Black schon als "etabliert" bezeichnen.Denn...wer seit 2015 mit namhaften Bands unterwegs war und ein Knaller-Album nach dem anderen rausbringt,darf sich so "titulieren" lassen.Aber - und das ist mal klar- wird man bei einem Neuen Album immer am Vorgängerscheibling "gemessen"!Normaler Vorgang!Und als Band oder als Musiker bist du immer darauf bedacht,abzuliefern.So abzuliefern,das es anderen auch gefällt,ist zweifelsohne nicht so einfach!"Die Mukkerpolizeit" lauert an jeder Ecke 🙂
Wie dem auch sei...Beyond the Black liefern auch auch mit diesem Album ab.Gewohnt gradlinig und auf den Punkt oder anders gesagt:Voll in Fresse!Eingängige Melodien und die gewohnt klaren Vocals von Jennifer Haben lassen dieses Album,genauso wie die Vorgänger-Alben,zu einem Musikalischen Feuerwerk werden!Live wird die Hütte brennen...und auch die Ohren!
Für mich ist die Album schon jetzt eine MUSIKALISCHE ANSAGE an 2023.Ich habe Freude an diesem Album!

Turmion Kätilöt - Omen X

After 9 full length studio albums and playing their asses off at over 800 shows, the Finnish disco metal machine Turmion Kätilöt is ready for the next level in their world dominance. Their 10th full length studio album “Omen X” will be released in 36 countries on 13th January 2023 via Nuclear Blast. The touring cycle starts in Finland immediately after the release of Omen X. Band will play its biggest show ever in Helsinki Ice hall on 14th January 2023. After couple of shows in the home country “Omen X” will be served all over Europe with 20 gigs inFebruary 2023.
Turmion Kätilöt was formed in 2003 in Finland by MC Raaka Pee and Dj Vastapallo. Soon they were joined by the other members of what would become Turmion Kätilöt: Master Bates, Run-Q, DQ and Spellgoth as a second vocalist. With a couple of line-up changes as Dj Vastapallo left the band in 2009 replaced by Bobby Undertaker on guitars (ex-Deathchain) and Spellgoth leaving in 2017 replaced by Shag-U (Fear Of Domination) on vocals, Turmion Kätilöt has become the mean disco metal machine they are today.
From the very beginning Turmion Kätilöt has had a reputation of being a great live band. Disco beats from the 90’s, metal to the pedal, melodies, sing-a-longs, you name it – there are no rules. Yet still if you peek under the skin you can find the darkness pointing its finger to you. Their live shows have been praised to be the fiercest and craziest mayhem to be witnessed creating the twisted world of Turmion Kätilöt.

Es mag ja Leutchen geben,die das mögen.Ich mag´s nicht.Vorallem,weil mir der Sound echt auf den "S..." geht!Da steht im Info was von "Disco beats from the 90’s"...Naja-wer´s den mag...
Für mich ist das ein musikalischer BREI,der mir einfach nicht schmeckt.Mir ist da zuviel Chaos unterwegs.Das Label,wird schon seine Grunde haben,warum man diese Combo gesighnt hat...

TEN - Something Wicked This Way Comes

UK hard rock stalwarts TEN used the downtime during the worldwide pandemic to work on not one, but two new albums. The first album to be released, "Here Be Monsters", landed on February 18, 2022 via Frontiers Music Srl. And now, the label is pleased to announce the second album of the two, "Something Wicked This Way Comes" on January 20, 2023.
Following the success of the recent string of albums, from “Albion” to “Illuminati”, Hughes was joined once again by guitarists Dann Rosingana and Steve Grocott along with bass player Steve McKenna, keyboard maestro Darrel Treece-Birch and guest drummer Markus Kullman (Sinner, Glenn Hughes, Voodoo Circle) for the recording of "Something Wicked This Way Comes". TEN continue to raise the musical bar higher for themselves, a goal they push on every release. Stunning guitar work, rich keyboards, excellent bass and drum interplay along with Hughes’ rich vocals are the order of the day here, as they were on this album's immediate predecessor, "Here Be Monsters".
“Something Wicked This Way Comes” was produced by Gary Hughes and mixed and mastered by Dennis Ward. TEN’s longstanding professional association with Dennis has been ongoing since he mixed their 2011 album, “Stormwarning” and has always guaranteed albums with stunning sound and production.
Fans should note that there are no ties between "Something Wicked This Way Comes" and "Here Be Monsters" or anything of this nature. The band simply crafted two high quality releases and decided to put them out separately, in a fashion not too dissimilar to what happened with their amazing first two records which were recorded one after the other in a very short period of time.
British hard rockers TEN have an outstanding history of releases in their storied and revered catalog. Starting out as a sort of solo project built around singer and songwriter Gary Hughes, TEN found their audience playing a hard rock sound influenced by such giants as UFO, Thin Lizzy, Magnum, Giant, and Whitesnake in a time when playing this particular sound was considered ommericial suicide. The band's early records such as “The Name Of The Rose”, “The Robe”, “Spellbound“, and “Babylon” established the band as mainstays in the melodic hard rock genre, which has continued throughout their now 26 year career over the course of 15 studio albums.

Manchmal hab ich das Gefühl,das TEN in dem RIIIESIGEN Pool der HR-Bands untergeht oder "vergessen" wird...Vielleicht irre ich da auch.
Das Material von TEN war und ist immer auf den Punkt gebracht:Geile,KLARE Vocals,gute HR-Songs,gute Musiker!Herz...bzw.Ohren...WAS wollt ihr mehr?
Gerade die Vocals von Gary Hughes sind sowas von Klasse.Er zählt für mich zu den TOP10 der Besten Sänger auf diesem Erdball!Klar kann man da immer geteilter Meinung sein.Aber wenn man,gerade bei den Vocals,mal RICHTIG hinhört,ist diese Stimme OUTSTANDING!Sie legt sich für meine Ohre immer wie eine seidige Decke und gibt den Nummer von TEN das,was diese Songs einfach brauchen: CHARAKTER!
NATÜRLICH darf man die restlichen Musiker der Band nicht vergessen.Die Herrschaften wissen ganz genau,was sie da machen.
Alles in ALLEM:Ein musikalisch RUNDES ALBUM,das,ohne das ich böse meine,ZEITLOS ist und auch noch in einigen Jahren sehr gut hörbar ist und SPASS bereiten wird!
Zu guterletzt will ich aber noch jemanden erwähnen,der da gemixed und gemastered hat: Dennis Ward (ex-Pink Cream,Bass).Der gute Dennis hat da verdammt gute Arbeit gemacht!

Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the signing of an incredible new trio, Heroes & Monsters. Formed by three rock n' roll lifers and friends, bassist/vocalist Todd Kerns, guitarist Stef Burns, and drummer Will Hunt. The band's self-titled debut will be released on January 20, 2023.
The players' resumes speak for themselves, but rest assured, if you are looking for hard hitting, hooky, in-your-face rock-n-roll, then Heroes & Monsters will be good for what ails you. The band approaches their style with their influences in tow, but also with an understanding and appreciation of the current rock scene. A best of both worlds scenario, if you will.
Todd Kerns is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, and producer. He is most noted for being the bass player and back up singer in Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, and for being the frontman of gold-record selling Canadian band The Age Of Electric. In more recent years, he has been making his mark as a singer-songwriter with sold out solo performances as well as fronting former KISS guitarist Bruce Kulick’s band as well as his own Canadian supergroup, Toque.
Guitarist Stef Burns has a fantastic and varied history in rock music. He has spent time playing with pop acts like Sheila E., Berlin, and Huey Lewis & The News as well as rock acts like Y&T, whom he recorded four albums with, and Alice Cooper, playing on the albums Hey Stoopid and The Last Temptation. Stef currently plays with Italian Rock superstar Vasco Rossi and also has his own band, the Stef Burns League.
Drummer Will Hunt currently resides in the drum throne for Evanescence, whom he first started playing with in 2007. Over the years, the in-demand skinsman has played with Dark New Day, Black Label Society, Staind, Vasco Rossi, Vince Neil, Tommy Lee, Slaughter, and more. He has also appeared on albums by Michael Sweet (Stryper), Crossfade, Dirty Shirley (George Lynch), Device (David Draiman of Disturbed), and more.

WOW...DAS geht mal RICHTIG ab!"Frischfleisch" für die Ohren.3 Leutchen,die ein verdammt geiles Debüt raushauen,welches an allen Ecken ROCKT!
Ohne langes "gelaber"(ihr wisst,wie ich´s meine) kommen die Jungs gleich auf den Punktbei jedem Songs dieses Albums.
Mag ja vielleicht etwas übertrieben klingen...ABER so manchesmal mal hör ich bei den Chören eine meiner Lieblingsbands raus:SWEET...Eine Band,die Songs wie Fox on the run,Action und Ballroom Blitz herausbrachte und so eine Ära prägten!Der Rest ist Musikgeschichte!SWEET kamen auch bei jeder Nummer MUSIKALISCH immer ganz schnell auf den gewissen Punkt,den ein guter Song ausmacht!
Heroes & Monsters haben auch diese GEWISSE MUSIKALISCHE ETWAS!Natürlich sind sie nicht SWEET.Das ist klar!Auch schreiben wir das Jahr 2023!Das ist mir schon bewusst.Aber DIESE Band hier...die hat Potenzial,in der obersten Liga mitzumischen!Die Band hat noch nicht das Ende der Fahnenstange erreicht.Da geht noch viel,viel mehr!Wartet es ab!

Ronnie Romero - Raised On Heavy Radio

Ronnie Romero has announced the upcoming release of 'Raised On Heavy Radio', a companion album of sorts to his first covers album, "Raised On Radio", on January 27, 2023. This time out, Romero pays tribute to legendary artists from the metal world like Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Accept, Metallica, and more. Special guests on the album include Gus G. (Firewind, Ozzy Osbourne), Chris Caffery (Savatage, Spirits Of Fire), Roland Grapow (Masterplan, Helloween), and more.
Romero's voice and prolific musical activity have brought him to the forefront of the hard rock/metal scene where he can be seen/heard with Lords of Black, The Ferrymen, Sunstorm, Rainbow, and the Michael Schenker Group. Through his work fronting these acts, it is no stretch to see how the artists covered on this album have influenced Romero and understand how his voice is well suited to give them a proper tribute.
Ambitious and driven as always, this record is another special treat for fans while Romero continues work on his proper debut solo album of original material.
Romero's first solo covers album, "Raised On Radio", featured covers of classics that meant something special to Romero over the years and helped forge this talented singer's musical style. Songs by legendary acts like Survivor, Bad Company, Foreigner, Queen, Led Zeppelin, and more were given Romero's talented vocal treatment. These classic rock and AOR covers showcased a different side of Romero's musical influences and were executed with passion, charisma, and power. Now, with this second installment of covers, "Raised On Metal Radio", Romero showcases his love of metal music, for which he is more widely known.
Through Romero's career thus far, he has performed killer renditions of several rock and metal classics as part of his shows fronting legendary acts like Rainbow and the Michael Schenker Group (MSG). He's also covered classic songs by Journey, Queen, Rainbow, and more with Spanish metallers Lords Of Black. So, with trying his hand at covers by legendary artists being familiar territory already, both cover albums were waters that Romero was comfortable wading into.

Grundsätzlich sei gesagt:Ich persönlich bin nicht so der "Freund" von Cover-Stücken bzw. Alben.Meißtens-mit Ausnahmen-klingen die dann für mich einfach nur schlecht umgesetzt!
Das Album hier ist trotzdem ganz interessant,weil die Nummer einfach nach dem Original klingen und nicht mit irgendwelchen Effekten etc. noch weiter !aufgepimt" wurden.Das zeigt meiner Meinung auch den Respekt der Künstler,die auf diesem Album am Start sind.Dafür mal ein RIESIGES LOB und DANKESCHÖN:)
