ALIEN – Live at Sweden Rock Festival

Alien is a Swedish rock band that has been a cornerstone of the hard rock scene since 1986, known for their melodic hooks, powerful guitar riffs, and the unmistakable voice of Jim Jidhed. Formed in Gothenburg, Sweden, the band quickly gained recognition both domestically and internationally, building a legacy of powerful albums and unforgettable live shows.

Alien’s self-titled debut album, released in 1988, introduced their melodic hard rock style to the world establishing Alien as one of the standout bands of the late 80s hard rock scene. „Only One Woman,“ one of Alien’s most iconic songs which currently has almost 6 million streams on Spotify alone, became a massive hit and achieved gold certification in Sweden and dominated Swedish radio charts. The song also performed well internationally, receiving heavy rotation on radio stations in Europe, the US and Japan pushing the band higher into the global spotlight.

Since then, the band has released several albums, the most recent one, ”When Yesterday Comes Around” via Pride & Joy Music. This album has charted in the top 20 of the Swedish album charts in Spring 2025.

After 15 years, on June 4th, 2025, Alien returned to the legendary Sweden Rock Festival and immediately captivated the crowd with a rousing concert. The band comments: “And there they were: a big crowd already waiting, growing fast from the very first song. It was our turn. Our moment – together with an absolutely incredible audience. We savored every note, every smiling face in the crowd. People sang along, and honestly… we had the time of our lives.”

The set consisted of a balanced selection of classics such as “Tears Put Out The Fire,” “Go Easy,” and “Only One Woman,” as well as newer highlights such as “In The End We Fall” and “If Love Is War.”Pride & Joy Music now releases this live album on CD & digital on April 24^th, 2026.

Vorab:Das hier ist ein TOLLER Live-Mitschnitt…vorallem kommt der „Draht“ zum Pulikum bzw. zu den Fans sehr gut rüber.Deshalb kann ich euch die dieses LIVE-Album,welches beim Sweden Rock Festival am 4. Juni 2025 mitgeschnitten wurde,sehr empfehlen!

Und nicht nur der angesprochenen „Draht zum Publikum“ kommt rüber,auch die Stimmung und gute Laune der Band.All das kommt natürlich beim Fan bzw. Publikum total an und diese geben es auch zurück an die Band.Natürlich gibt es auch die bekannten Klassiker wie zum Beispiel „Tears Put Out The Fire“,“Only One Woman und „Go Easy“ zu hören.Auch die „neueren Titel“ wie z.b. „In The End We Fall“ verfehlten ihr Ziel nicht!

Die Mischung bzw. die Titelliste der Band war ausgewogen und gut zusammengestellt,so das der Besucher des Festivals voll auf seine Kostren kommt/kam!Und ich glaube,das sich die Fanschar nach dem Gig in Schweden weiter vergrößert hat!

Hardline – Shout

Um die Geschichte des neuen Hardline-Studioalbums ‚Shout‘ vollständig zu erzählen, darf ein Verweis auf ihren 1992er Klassiker ‚Double Eclipse‘ nicht fehlen. Seinerzeit wurde die einzigartige künstlerische DNA dieser fabelhaften Hardrock-Formation erschaffen und gleich mit dem ersten Entwurf nahezu perfektioniert. Seither haben Hardline sechs weitere Studioscheiben veröffentlicht, allesamt Höhepunkte dieses Genres. Mit ‚Shout‘ knüpft die Gruppe um den amerikanischen Sänger Johnny Gioeli (Axel Rudi Pell, Crush 40) und seine italienischen Kollegen, Keyboarder Alessandro Del Vecchio, Gitarrist Luca Princiotta, Bassistin Anna Portalupi und Schlagzeuger Marco Di Salvia, nun so treffsicher wie nie zuvor an ihr 92er Meisterwerk an. „Auf der aktuellen Scheibe findet man die für uns typischen Refrains und das klassische Songwriting von ‚Double Eclipse‘, allerdings mit einer zeitgemäßen Produktion sowie aktuellem Sound. Das Album vermittelt ein Gefühl, als wenn man sein Autofenster herunterkurbelt und das Radio so laut wie möglich aufdreht“, skizziert Johnny Gioeli die zehn neuen Songs und ergänzt: „Diese Band will ihre Musik nicht neu erfinden. Hardline sind Hardline, und als Fan weiß man, was man von uns erwarten darf!“ Veröffentlicht wird ‚Shout‘ am 17. April 2026 über Steamhammer/Open, vorab gibt es mit ‚Rise Up‘ (VÖ: 20.2.2026), ‚When You Came Into My Life‘ (20.3.2026) und ‚Shout‘ (10.4.2026) drei Singleauskopplungen. Mitte April 2026, also bereits eine Woche nach Albumveröffentlichung, gehen Hardline auf große Europatournee, um das Motto der Scheibe in eine gewohnt mitreißende Performance umzusetzen.

Für Gioeli ist ‚Shout‘ das nach offizieller Zählung 108. (!!) Album, an dem er als Musiker aktiv beteiligt war. Er sagt: „Ich konnte die Zahl selbst kaum glauben, und vermutlich sind es sogar noch ein paar mehr. Von jeder einzelnen Performance habe ich etwas Wichtiges gelernt, vor allem, dass Songwriting egoistisch sein muss. Denn nur wenn man von seiner Musik selbst begeistert ist, kann man auch andere von ihr überzeugen.“ Gioeli spricht unter anderem von Stücken wie den packenden Titelsong, die 80er Reminiszenz ‚Candy Love‘ oder das muskulöse ‚Welcome To The Thunder‘, bei dem es inhaltlich um den eigenen Stellenwert als Künstler geht. Gioeli: „Bei jeder Show, egal in welcher Stadt und in welchem Land, danke ich dem Publikum, dass es mir mein großartiges Musikerleben ermöglicht. Für mich ist diese Geste ein festes Ritual.“ Wichtig für den Hardline-Sänger ist auch die emotional bewegende Ballade ‚Glow‘, in der Komponist Alessandro Del Vecchio unter anderem den Verlust von treuen Haustieren oder eines geliebten Menschen sowie das Engagement seines Bandkollegen für vernachlässigte Hunde thematisiert: „Der Song ist mehr als 20 Hunden gewidmet, die in unserem Leben eine große Rolle gespielt haben. Alessandro und ich sind große Tierliebhaber. Seit vielen Jahren fliege ich oft als Pilot Hunde aus Tierheimen, die davor bewahrt wurden, dass man sie einschläfert, weil sie niemand will. Auf der Tour werden wir gegen eine kleine Spende Leuchtstäbchen verteilen, die man – während wir den Song spielen – hochhalten und dabei an jemanden denken kann, den man verloren hat und der einem besonders wichtig war.“

Neben neun Songs, die von Gioeli, Del Vecchio und Gitarrist Luca Princiotta komponiert wurden, gehört die Coverversion des Scorpions-Songs ‚When You Came Into My Life‘ sicherlich zu den größten Überraschungen auf ‚Shout‘. Dazu Gioeli: „Ein Freund aus Norwegen hat mir das Lied vorgespielt, ich kannte es vorher gar nicht. Aber es ist ein richtiger Smash-Hit, den wir im typischen Hardline-Stil eingespielt haben und damit den Scorpions unseren Respekt zollen.“ Einen solchen Respekt werden Fans und Medien garantiert auch Hardline erweisen, wenn ihr neues Album an die Öffentlichkeit kommt. Man darf sich schon jetzt auf diesen Moment freuen!

Sänger Johnny Gioeli von Axel Rudi Pell bekannt sein…

Und der Sänger selbst mal sagte einmal,das es sich hier mit dem HIER vorliegenden Album um seine 108.! Veröffendlichung handelt…Naja…FLEIßig,fleißig der Mann.Und ein schlechter Sänger ist er ja nun auch nicht.Dann kann mann schon stolz sein auf soviele Veröffendlichungen…

Und wenn man mal bedenkt,das die ERSTE Veröffendlichung eines HARDLINE-Albums schon 1992 erfolgte…Somit ist die Band bzw. der Bandname schon verdammt lange am Start.Damals hieß das Debut-Album „Double Eclipse“.Damals waren auch solche Leute wie Neil Schon und Deen Castronovo dabei…Aber man löste sich auch 1992 wieder auf…Warum auch immer…

Irgendwann kamen HARDLINE wieder „um die Ecke“ und veröffendlichten dann um Einiges Regelmäßiger Alben,die allesamt schon gut waren!

Auch das vorliegende Album rockt weiter.Eben so,wie man es von der Band gewohnt ist!Ich hatte in den Veröffendlichungen der letzten Jahre schon meinen Spaß.Und es geht nahtlos weiter.Das rockt an allen Ecken-hörbare Kanten höre ich nicht.Jeder Titel kommt sofort auf den Punkt.Und natürlich dürfen ruhigere Titel wie „When You Came Into My Life“ nicht fehlen!

„When You Came Into My Life“ ist übrigens eine Cover-Nummer von den SCORPIONS aus dem Album Pure Instinct aus dem Jahr 1996.Hinzu kommt dann noch die Ballade „Glow“ als 10. und letzte Nummer des Albums.

Insgesamt kann man schon sagen,das dieses Album Musikalisch solide daherkommt.Da gibt es nix zu meckern.

Fighter V – Déja Vu

The band talked about how the album came to life: “Deja Vu” is our third album, after “Fighter” and “Heart Of The Young”. It was recorded, mixed and mastered in 2025 in the Swiss studio “Little Creek” by the engineer Pulver and produced by Emmo Acar. The vocals and production work happened externally. The vocal recordings and production were done by Ronny Lang aka “The Voicefinder” in his own studio in cooperation with Emmo. The keyboard was produced, played and recorded by Victor Olsson, with whom we already worked on the keys of the album before. Background vocals were done separately by Emmo, Victor, Tess and Ronny. Saxophone as well by Magnus Hägglund”.

“The album contains a variety of styles, like the previous one, thanks to the cooperation with Dave Niederberger (Ex vocalist of FV) and Roman and Emmo. Influenced by our idols from the 80‘s, we are paying tribute to the prime era of Melodic Hardrock/ AOR, which you can hear by the authenticity of our sound”, they continued. “The title “Deja Vu” is not only the title of the album but also the title of a song of it. This classic French quote portrays the events we see already coming but can’t be saved from them. They will repeat cause some things are written in stone”.

Fighter V burst onto the scene in 2019. Born in Hergiswil, Switzerland, the band draws deep inspiration from classic 1980s hard-rock and arena-rock giants like Whitesnake, Journey, Survivor, and Bon Jovi – channeling that vintage energy into modern melodic rock anthems.

Their debut album, “Fighter” (2019), recorded in Sweden with producer Jona Tee (H.E.A.T), delivered 12 tracks of keyboard-driven riffs and old-school rock hooks, quickly establishing the band as one of Europe’s most promising new melodic rock acts.

In 2024 they returned with “Heart Of The Young”, featuring a refreshed lineup led by vocalist Emmo Acar, embracing a renewed but faithful homage to ’80s-era anthemic rock.

Now, with “Déjà vu”, Fighter V embark on a new chapter – their first album to be released through Frontiers Records, a pivotal step that brings their sound to a wider global audience. Eingänge Hooks…Gitarrenriffs,die knallen…Refrains,die hängenbleiben…Die 80er lassen GRÜßEN!

Als Kind der 80er-Jahre sollte ich doch das Material der Band FIGHTER V so RICHTIG gut finden…Und um das mal vorwegzunehmen:Ja…Ich find die Band bzw. die Musik der Schweizerisch/Deutschen-Band echt garnicht mal so schlecht!Und JA:Dieser 80er-Jahre-Stil im Bereich Hard-Rock ist ja ohnehin im Aufwind.Und NEIN…Diese Band „wärmt“ Altes nicht Neu auf.Man zieht musikalisch schon sein eigenes Ding durch!Ohne Wenn und Aber…Die Songs kommen immer ziemlich schnell auf den Punkt.Das gefällt mir denn schon mal.Die Produktion klingt klar,sauber und modern!Das einzige,was mich irgendwie stört sind die Vocals.Ich weiß nicht genau,was es ist…Aber an manchen Stellen des Album schwächeln die Vocals etwas-für mein empfinden.Wenns in die etwas höheren Gesangsparts geht,kippt das ganze ETWAS und klingt „überrissen“…Bei den ganz RUHIG gesungenen find ich die Stimme RICHTIG Klasse!Allerdings ist Stimme bei vielen Songs extrem in den Vordergrund plaziert worden…Und um das ganze mal etwas auf den Punkt zu bringen:Ich finde,da ist mit zuviel „schreierei“ am Start!DAS mein ich nicht böse und/oder persönlich.Es ist die Art des Sängers…Aber für meine Ohren ist das an vielen Stellen einfach etwas drüber!Manchmal ist weniger eben doch mehr!

Die Restlichen Instrumente sind DA…machen einen GUTEN Job.Hier hab ich absolut nichts,was mich wirklich stört!

Die Songauswahl bzw. die Mischung der Songs ist ausgewogen und gut gewählt.Das kann man als gelungen und abwechslungsreich bezeichnen.Insgesamt ist das jetzt nicht unbedingt DAS HAMMER-Album,welches die gesamte Musikwelt auf den Kopf stellen wird.Wie erwähnt…Ich bin ein Kind der 80er und daran erinnert es mich-SUPER!Ich für meinen Teil haben Spass an der Scheibe.

John Corabi (u.a Ex-Mötley Crüe,Ex-The Scream)bringt ein Solo-Album auf den Markt.Was taugt das Solo-Album des aktuellen Sängers von The Dead Daisies?

Der Titelsong „New Day“ geht schon mal ins Ohr.DAS ist denn auch mal ein guter Einstieg.Vorab:Der „Rest“ des vorliegenden Albums ist klassischer Hard Rock im Nashville-Sound…Vorallem,weil dieses Scheibchen AUCH in Nashville aufgenommen wurde.Insgesamt,und das kann ich schon mal vorweg nehmen,höre ich hier einfach gute Musik mit GRÖßTENTEILS Ohrwurmcharakter!Das zeigt aber auch,das Mr.Corabi ein GUTER Songwriter ist.Und,auch das gebe ich gerne zu,war seine Stimme nicht unbedingt mein Ding!Diese Meinung ändere ich gern!Der Mann kann echt singen.

Insgesamt gefällt mir auch der „warme“ Sound.Hier wurde nicht auf tausende Effekte gesetzt.Man lässt eher die Stimme wirken.Und die tollen Arrangements lassen das gesamte Album sehr warmherzig KLINGEN.Ich höre Schlagzeug,Bass,Orgel,E-Gitarre,Mandoline.Also eher klassische Instrumente.

Ich fühl mich teilweise an die 70er erinnert,wenn ich das Material höre.Und ganz ehrlich gesagt,ist das noch nicht mal der Hard Rock im modernen Sound.Aber das macht auch garnichts.Dieses Album spricht für sich.Es müssen ja auch nicht immer zum Beispiel „verrückte“ Gitarren-Solis sein.Ob wohl auch diese irgendwie schon „verrückt“ ind…ABER eben anders klingen.Und was ich mir ebenfalls gut vorstellen kann:Im Auto unterwegs sein…Scheibe runter…und ganz cool den Armaufstützen und jedem zuwinken.Das sagt eigendlich schon alles.Dieses Album ist einfach cool umgesetzt worden.Es trägt sehr viel Melodie und Seele in sich.

Talking about the new album, Eriksson stated: “This is truly one of the best albums we’ve ever made. Yes, it’s a cliche. Yes, a lot of bands say that about every new record they make. With “Curtain Calls”, Degreed deliver one of the strongest and most focused albums of their career. Degreed have been releasing critically acclaimed music since the start of their career with their first album “Life, Love, Loss” in 2010. Over the course of their career, the band has gone from strength to strength with every release, touring and gaining fans all over the world. Their sound mixes classic melodic and hard rock sounds with more contemporary influences, offering the fans a very personal, fresh and exciting mix of great rock music.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the band wasn’t able to tour on the heels of the release of the album “Lost Generation” in 2019. The band released the song “The World We Knew”, their musical summation of the year 2020 (the song became “Track of the Week” at Classic Rock Magazine’s website a week after its release) and then in 2021, Degreed began working on what would ultimately become “Are You Ready”, released in 2022.

Degreed released “Public Address” in July 2023, followed by the EP “The Leftovers – Volume I”, in July 2025, diving deep into their vault of unreleased gems.

Der SIEBTE Streich der Melodic-Rocker…

Diese Album bietet dem Hörer 10 Songs im modernen,klassischem und schwedischem Meledic-HardRock-Sound!Ob das das nun energiegeladene Songs oder melodische Hymnen sind…Die Jungs haben alles drauf,um dem Hörer gleich ins Ohr zu kriechen!Ob das nun Songs wie „One Helluva Ride“ oder „Holding On To Yesterday“ sind…Ich mag das Album.Vorallem,weil viele Teile der 10 Titel gleich hängenbleiben und auch GUTE LAUNE versprühen.Für mich persönlich ist hier KEIN Song schlecht umgesetzt worden.Schwächen kann ich nicht wirklich hören.Und mal ganz ehrlich:Nach nun 7 Alben sollte man „ES“ schon draufhaben und wissen,wie „ES“ geht!Und wenn ich mal auf ältere Songs/Alben zurückblicke…Auch diese waren nicht die schlechtesten.

Leider hab ich etwas das Gefühl,das diese Band unter dem Radar fliegt.Vielleicht irre ich mich auch…Diese Band ist Klasse!Und das Material erinnert mich irgendwie an CIRCUS MAXIMUS!

Getragen werden die Songs von Sänger Robin Eriksson,der es immer wieder schafft,die Songs so rüberzubringen,das sie ehrlich klingen.Die Titel strahlen und „schweben“

Generation Radio return with “Take Two”, the eagerly awaited follow-up to their acclaimed debut, delivering another masterclass in AOR/West Coast rock infused with just the right touch of the Nashville sound.

Produced by founding members Jay DeMarcus (Rascal Flatts) and Jason Scheff (former Chicago), the band features an all-star lineup: Steve Ferrone (Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Average White Band) joins on drums, replacing the formidable Deen Castronovo (who returned to Journey as full-time member), while Tom Yankton (guitar, vocals) and Chris Rodriguez (guitar, vocals) round out the powerhouse ensemble.
