Fans of quality Melodic Hard Rock will have no problem remembering the 1990 debut from Blue Tears. With its loving mix of Bon Jovi meets Def Leppard hard-hitting riffs and melodies, this was one band that really should have scaled the heights.
Back in 2005, the band were invited to play the second ever edition of the Firefest Festival. Gregg and the boys put on one hell of a show for their one and only ever full-electric set in Europe. Also included is an Attraction 65 song from Gregg’s solo project.
Sure, it was raw and wild, but the adoring fans loved every minute. Now that fateful night is presented here, in all its untouched/no overdubs glory.
Of course, main man Greg Fulkerson died tragically in April 2009. “Live In The UK” represents a chance to see him and the boys honouring their legacy, up close, raw and personal. “Live At The UK” will be released digital and as a ltd. edition CD (300 copies only) which will be exclusively sold via shop.prideandjoy.de and wholesale.

Das Album erscheint am erscheint am 15. Mai 2026 und ist digital als streng limitierte CD-Auflage (300 Exemplare) erhältlich.
Die Nummern erinnern mich stark an BON JOVI und etwas DEF LEPPARD…BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN vielleicht auch noch.Und das,was ich schon ganz „schön“ finde,ist,dass das Album vom Sound her nicht gerade perfekt rüberkommt.Was jetzt nicht heißt,das der Sänger nicht singen kann und der Rest der Band seine Instrumente nicht im Griff hat.Es ist halt ein Live-Album und es klingt schön pur nach einem Live-Mitschnitt.Da wird man schon ganz anders „abgeholt“.Es gibt auch Live-Alben,die im Studio extrem“nachgedreht“ wurden,nur damit dann auch das ganze so perfekt wie möglich klingt.Ich mag das hier schon.So ist das nicht.
Das Material ist schön eingängig.Aber ich bin auch ganz ehrlich…Ich hatte diese Band nicht auf dem Schirm bisher.Und ich denke,das man in der Vergangenheit noch mehr hätte rausholen können,das die Band in der Szene noch bekannter ist bzw. ein gewisses standing hat.
Dieser Mitschnitt wurde auf dem Firefest Festival 2005 gemacht…Leider verstarb der Sänger 2009.So ist es auch ein Stückweit eine Hommage an Frontmann Gregg Fulkerson.
Und weil das Scheibchen so schön pur ist und auch so kling,vergebe ich…

Acacia Avenue – Chapter V

The idea for Acacia Avenue began back in 2008. Founding member, Torben Enevoldsen (Fate, Fatal Force, Section A), spent most of that year writing new material. Some of this new material came to be very melodic hard rock/AOR, and the idea of doing a full album in this style quickly emerged. In order to spice things up however, Enevoldsen decided to ask a few good friends of his to participate, both as singers, but also as co-writers.
The debut album featured Tony Mills (Ex-TNT, Shy), Geir Rönning (Radioactive), Torben Lysholm (Pangea, Mysterell) and Lars Säfsund (Work Of Art) on vocals. Torben played bass, keyboards and guitars, as well as both lead and backing vocals on a few songs and Thomas Heintzelmann (Decoy) did the drums. The self-entitled debut album was released on Lion Music back in January 2010.
In January 2011, Torben joined the Danish hard rock band Fate, and although being busy with them, he continued working on various other projects, as well as releasing four albums in total so far with Acacia Avenue. After the release of ”Worlds Apart” (2018), Torben was busy working on his instrumental solo stuff, as well as writing and recording for Rob Moratti, Pinnacle Point, Decoy and Fate. In between these sessions however, Enevoldsen found the time to write new music for a fifth Acacia Avenue album.
As usual, he asked a few good friends along for the ride, so this new album features Peer Johansson (Now Or Never, Fate), Peter Sundell (C.O.P., Decoy), Dagfinn Joensen (Bloody Dice), as well as the late, great Tony Mills (Shy, TNT) on vocals. Pete Steincke (Fate) split the bass duties with Enevoldsen, who also played the keyboards and guitars himself, as well as doing lead- and background vocals on a few songs. Dennis Hansen (Fatal Force) once again did the drums.
The majority of the recordings, including the mix and mastering, took place at Torben’s ”Funny Farm Studios” in Denmark. Enevoldsen mixed and mastered „Chapter V“ himself and he also produced the album.

Das mittlerweile 5. Album ist ein Mix auch AOR und Classic Rock…
Das Album startet auch gleich schön rockig mit dem Titel „No use running“…Das erinnerte mich gleich irgendwie an TED BULLET (Thunderhead)…Der „Rest“ des Album ist gespickt mit interessanten Gitarrenparts und beeindruckt durch ein abwechslungsreiches und eingängiges Songwriting.Und ab und zu schaut auch mal eine Hammond Organ um die Ecke…Sehr schön!Ich mag ja sowieso den Hammond-Sound…wenn er denn demensprechend eingesetzt wird.Das gibt einem Album immer dieses gewisse „Etwas“!
Und wenn man mal oben das Info zum Album liest,wird einem auffallen,das das keine Anfänger unterwegs sind.Da wurden gute Songs „gezaubert“.Eingängig und druckvoll.Da wurde nichts dem Zufall überlassen.Das gefällt dem Musikfan.Und dann verschiedenste Sänger…Das hat doch was.Es gibt auch andere Projekte,die immer mal wieder unterschiedlichste Sänger/Musiker dabei haben…Warum auch nicht!Kann man machen.Und da muss auch nicht jedes Jahr oder alle 2. Jahre etwas erscheinen…Da bin ich der Meinung,das dann Weniger Mehr ist.
Ein nettes Album/Projekt…Das kann man sich ruhig mal reintun.Gefällt mir!

Die „First Time“ sind schon lange vorbei…
Immer mal wieder meldet sich Robin Beck mit neuem Material-so wie mit diesem Album!Naja…es klingt schon ganz schön rockig.Und der ein oder andere Ohrwurm ist dann auch dabei.Aber,und das mein ich nicht böse,klingt die Stimme schon ganz schön „rauh“…zu „rauh“… Und ich habe das „RAUH“ nicht ohne Grund in Anführungszeichen gesetzt,um nicht falsch rüberzubringen,was ich bei der Stimme „empfinde“…Na klar…wir leben nicht mehr in den 80ern…Und Robin ist reifer geworden was das Songmaterial angeht…und auch die Stimme ist reifer geworden…
Das sie „ES“ immer noch kann,steht außer jeder Frage.Das Material ist sehr gut arrangiert und produziert worden.Die Songs sind eingängig…fett…schön abwechslungsreich mit der gewissen Qualität,die man von einer Robin Beck erwartet!Das ist seit ihrem letzten Album von 2017 ein Album was schon „Fleisch“ hat,was das Songmaterial angeht und kommt auch kraftvoll rüber.Manchmal,wie ich finde,etwas zu kraftvoll…Die Liedchen sind zeitlos und gut.Diverse Nachwuchssänger können „einpacken“…Robin rules!
Musikalisch bewegt sich das Material zwischenklassischem AOR und melodischem Rock…Natürlich im modernen und zeitgemäßen Sound.Produziert wurde Living Proof von James Christian.Ihr Ehemann und seines Zeichens Frontmann von HOUSE OF LORDS.

Schon der Erste Titel des Albums zeigt,wohin die Reise des Neuen Albums,welches am 15.Mai erscheint,gehen soll.Kraftvoll,druckvoll und melodisch geht´s gleich zur Sache…
Und so geht es denn auch weiter…Refrains, klare Strukturen,Emotionen sind angesagt.Mitten auf die 12 und in die Ohren,wo das vorliegende Songmaterial dann auch hängenbleibt.Und ich glaube,das man mit dem neuen Gitarristen Christian Mühlroth einen Richtig guten „Ersatz“ gefunden hat für Gitarrist Robby Böbel ,der leider viel zu früh im Jahr 2022 verstarb.
Christian Mühlroth bringt sich mit seiner Gitarrenarbeit gut ein und setzt hier und dort ein Highlight.Dieser Mann tut der Band gut und sorgt für das gewisse ETWAS.DAS hier kein „lautes“ Album!Ich denke,ihr versteht,was ich meine.Es klingt sehr erwachsen und ist ein Schritt in die RICHTIG musikalische Richtung.Man schaut nach vorne und nicht zurück.GUT SO!Es muss weitergehen!
