"For me, the point of re-recording the old classic White Lion songs was all about letting the audience know HOW the band would sound if they come to see us live. Bringing the sound up today and away from a world no more. When I started with 'Vol. I' I must admit, I never thought I’d do 'Vol. II' and now 'Vol. III.' But having done it all now, makes all the more sense to me. If I have to be active playing White Lion in 2025 and onward, there's got to be a natural progression in every way. That is exactly what this Trilogy is all about.

In this final installment, TRAMP revisits and reimagines ten more essential songs from the White Lion catalog, bringing them back to life with the passion, perspective, and authenticity that only decades of experience can deliver.

Once again backed by his trusted bandmates — Marcus Nand (guitar), Claus Langeskov (bass), and Morten Hellborn(drums) — TRAMP offers fresh but respectful renditions of these classic tracks, capturing their spirit while elevating them with a more refined, seasoned sound.

From the raw defiance of "Fight To Survive," to the cinematic power of "Warsong," and the infectious rhythm of "Radar Love," this album is both a celebration and a reawakening.

Rage - A New World Rising

Beginnen wir diese kleine Abhandlung mit einer selbstbewussten These: In der langen erfolgreichen Karriere der deutschen Band Rage hat es vermutlich noch kein Album gegeben, dass in einem so hohen Maße die positive Stimmung unter den beteiligten Musikern, ihre Spielfreude, die Kreativität und den Optimismus widerspiegelt wie ‚A New World Rising‘. Knapp zwei Jahre nach dem eher dystopischen Vorgänger ‚Afterlifelines‘ feuern Peavy Wagner (Gesang, Bass), Jean Bormann (Gitarre) und Vassilios „Lucky“ Maniatopoulos (Schlagzeug) diesmal ein positives, ultra-heavy Thrash Metal-Feuerwerk ab, das den typischen Rage-Sound mit modernen Elementen kombiniert und in seiner Gesamtheit das bis dato abwechslungsreichste Werk der Band darstellt. „Nicht nur für uns, sondern für alle Menschen gilt: Wir müssen rauskommen aus dem destruktiven Mindset, das derzeit überall zu finden ist.

Viele denken, die Welt geht unter, alles wird schlechtgeredet, und manches davon ist sogar gezielt gesteuert, denn mit Angst kann man Menschen besser kontrollieren. Deswegen lautet unsere Botschaft: Denkt für euch selbst! Und glaubt nicht alles, was man euch erzählen will!“ erklärt Bandgründer Peavy Wagner den Grundtenor von ‚A New World Rising‘. Veröffentlicht wird das Album am 26. September 2025 über Steamhammer/SPV als CD, LP, Box und digitalen Download. Bereits vorher werden Rage zwei Singles veröffentlichen: Am 27. Juni 2025 erscheint ‚Freedom‘, gefolgt von ‚Innovation‘ am 12. September 2025. Ein noch geheimer dritter Single-Release sowie der Fokus-Track ‚Fire In Your Eyes‘ am Tag des Album-VÖs runden das Gesamtpaket ab. Weitere Informationen folgen in Kürze.

Für Frontmann Peavy kommt dieses kraftvolle, variantenreiche und positive Album nicht von ungefähr: „Personell haben sich Rage in den vergangenen Jahren großartig weiterentwickelt“, strahlt er, „wir sind aktuell in einem richtigen Kreativstrudel. Es ist lange her, dass wir dermaßen viel Spaß bei Rage hatten.“ Die Folgen sind deutlich hörbar: Elf neue Songs (plus Intro und Bonustrack) hat die Band im eigenen ‚Lucky Bob Studio‘ in Leverkusen eingespielt. Peavy: „Die Stücke auf ‚A New World Rising‘ sind direkt und griffig, gleichzeitig aber auch verspielt und facettenreich, ohne sich dabei selbst zu verlieren. Ich finde, man hört, wie inspiriert wir während des Songwritings waren, wie sehr wir uns im typischen Rage-Kosmos wohlfühlen und uns weiterentwickelt haben. Es gibt diesmal zwar keine Nummer mit Orchestrationen – die haben wir uns fürs nächste Mal aufgehoben –, dafür aber alles das, wofür Rage steht, plus so einiges darüber hinaus.“

Dazu zählt auch die Debütsingle ‚Freedom‘, für Peavy „der perfekte erste Vertreter des neuen Albums, ein Uptempo-Stampfer, sehr catchy, sehr fokussiert, mit einem Text über die wirklich wichtigen Werte im Leben, zu denen vor allem Freiheit gehört.“ Der Song ‚Innovation‘ wiederum erweist sich als – wie Wagner es nennt – „Thrash-Knalltüte und idealen Album-Opener, der seinen Blick gezielt nach vorne richtet und ein positives Gefühl vermittelt.“ Erwähnt werden sollte auf jeden Fall auch die Botschaft hinter ‚Fire In Your Eyes‘, einer Uptempo-Nummer, die Peavy als „Liebeserklärung an alle Metal-Fans“ verstanden wissen möchte. Er sagt: „Es gibt unter Metal-Fans eine unglaubliche Verbundenheit, die man auf jedem Konzert, jedem Festival beobachten kann, und die unter anderem zu so großartigen Vereinigungen wie ‚Metality e.V.‘ geführt hat, bei denen sich um diejenigen gekümmert wird, die im Leben gestrauchelt sind.“

Es gäbe noch viel mehr über das außergewöhnlich gelungene ‚A New World Rising‘ und seinen zahlreichen Höhepunkten zu erzählen, aber ein paar Geheimnisse sollten noch erhalten bleiben. Doch keine Sorge: Spätestens Ende September werden sie alle gelüftet und sofort anschließend von Rage auf Tournee würdig gefeiert. Sollte man darauf wetten, dass die Shows für Rage zum Triumphzug werden? Unbedingt! ‚A New World Rising‘ sei unser Zeuge.

Vor etwas mehr als einem Jahr erschien "AFTERLIFELINES"...Und jetzt der Nachfolger!

Und genau das finde ich mal ausgesprochen gut.Denn Peavy und Co. machen weiter...weiter...weiter!Und:Es ist das 27.!Album!Respekt!Abnutzungserscheinungen?Fehlanzeige!Warum soll man denn aufhören,wenn es am Schönsten ist?

Peavy´s Stimme klingt "wütend...rotzig...GEIL.DAS passt zu ihm.Genau wie die Gitarrenarbeit von Jean Borman.Die brennt sich mir gleich von Anfang an ins Ohr!Die Drums treiben das ganze so RICHTIG nach vorne!Was mir allerdings auffällt...vielleicht bilde ich mir das auch nur ein...sind OHRWÜRMER,die ich schon lange nicht mehr SO von RAGE gehört habe!Aber mal davon abgesehen...RAGE klangen schon irgendwie besonders für mich.Vielleicht liegt das auch an Peavy´s Stimme und der Art,wie er die Songs rüberbringt!?

Ich bin auch nicht vermessen genung,um sogar zu sagen:DA sind eine Menge Hits dabei!Aber das Album gefällt mir wieder mal sehr!Was anderes und mehr gibt es dazu auch nicht zu sagen.

Klassischer Melodic Power Metal...

Die Stimme von Frank Beck "überstrahlt" natürlich von Anfang an alles.Der Mann kann "ES" einfach!Schließlich hat er Alben von MASTERS OF DISGUISE, RED RAVEN, oder ALMANAC eingesungen und auch seit Jahren mit MAIDEN UNITED unterwegs!Desweiteren kommen Jobs bei POWERWOLF, ORDEN OGAN oder IRON SAVIOR als Backingsänger hinzu!Tja...Der Mann ist gefragt und fleißig!

Wie angesprochen handelt es sich hier um Melodic Metal...Man mag es oder eben nicht!Ich bin da immer zwiegespalten,wenn ich Melodic Power Metal lese...Für mich hört sich das immer irgendwie FAST immer gleich an!Das mein ich garnicht böse!Es gibt ja Material,was ich da schon ganz Klasse finde!So ist das nicht!Aber meißtens ist das für mich immer vorhersehbar beim hören...

Musikalisch gibt es schon ordendlich was für die Ohren zu hören.Und der Herr Beck klingt da nicht so,wie bei GAMMA RAY (Ja...da ist er ja auch noch irgendwie am Start...)

In der Gesamtheit ist das schon ein NETTES Scheibchen.Mehr aber nicht.ABER-und da bin ich mal wie ganz ehrlich-knallt das Teil ganz gut,und weiß durch diverse musikalische letztendlich doch zu überraschen!Da gehen mir manch andere Melodic Power Metal-Album schwerer runter.Hier bin ich nach 2 Nummern noch nicht satt!TIP:LAUT hören!

Sweet Savage - BANG

Gegründet 1979 in Belfast von Bassist und Sänger Ray Haller sowie dem späteren Dio- und Def Leppard-Gitarristen Vivian Campbell, gehörten Sweet Savage zur ersten Welle der New Wave of British Heavy Metal. Im Gegensatz zu vielen Weggefährten veröffentlichten sie damals jedoch nie ein vollständiges Album. Trotzdem wurden sie schnell zur Underground-Legende – nicht zuletzt, weil Metallica ihren Song „Killing Time“ coverten. Bis heute besteht eine enge Freundschaft zwischen beiden Bands.

Jetzt kehren Sweet Savage mit „BANG“ in Kampfform zurück. Die Band ist nicht hier, um Nostalgie zu bedienen – ihre Wurzeln bleiben dennoch unverkennbar: aggressiver Metal mit Industrial-Texturen und dem DIY-Ethos des Punk.

Vom explosiven Titelsong bis zum langsameren, hart einschlagenden „Live and Die“ und dem hymnischen „The Chosen One“ wechselt das Album ständig die Gangart und bleibt dabei durchgehend kraftvoll. Jeder Song fühlt sich dringend und direkt an – das ist der Sound einer Band, die nichts zu beweisen hat und alles zu sagen.

Frontmann Ray Haller wird flankiert von Langzeit-Drummer Marty McCloskey und Gitarrist Phil Edgar. Ebenfalls zu hören auf dem neuen Album: Simon McBride, Ex- Mitglied der Band, steuerte Gitarrenparts und Produktion bei, bevor er seine Solokarriere fortsetzte und schließlich bei Deep Purple anheuerte.

Sweet Savage sind zurück – und ja, das Album trifft so hart, wie der Titel verspricht.

Talking about the new album, Glenn stated: “Songwriting is deeply personal to me, and l generally write and record when I have something to say. It’s been nine years since I recorded my last solo album, “Resonate”. There have been recordings and collaborations with other artists, since 2016”.
“When writing “Chosen”, I went back to my life drawing board, writing about the human condition, love, hope, faith and acceptance. I write about how I feel on the inside and not externally. Vocalist/bass guitarist/songwriter Glenn Hughes is a true original. No other rock musician has carved such a distinctive style blending the finest elements of hard rock, soul and funk. That astonishing voice is his calling card. He's known as a singer's singer. Stevie Wonder once called Glenn Hughes his favorite white singer.

After a nine years hiatus as a solo artist, Glenn Hughes is back with “Chosen”, his brand-new solo record: an album which presents Glenn in his most hard rockin’ fashion. An explosive record that offers Glenn Hughes at its absolute best with a state-of-the-art album, both from a songwriting and production standpoint. A truly captivating return!

Glenn Hughes, a native of Cannock, England, absorbed all kinds of influences, including early British hard rock, the Beatles and, most importantly, American soul and R&B. The sleek Motown sound from Detroit and the gritty Stax/Volt sound from Memphis left their mark on him.

Glenn Hughes first found success in the early '70s with the band Trapeze, before joining Deep Purple in 1973 during a pivotal lineup change that introduced him and David Coverdale to the group. Despite initial scepticism, the revamped band silenced critics with the release of “Burn” (1974), a powerful album that revitalized Purple’s sound and remains a classic.

During this era, the band headlined the iconic California Jam in front of over 300,000 fans, toured the world aboard their private jet The Starship, and released two more studio albums, “Stormbringer” and “Come Taste The Band”, before disbanding in 1976.

Glenn's first solo album “Play Me Out” was released in 1977. He joined former Pat Travers guitarist Pat Thrall to form Hughes/Thrall, which released an acclaimed self-titled album in 1982. Throughout the '80s and '90s, Glenn Hughes made countless guest appearances (both credited and un-credited) as a vocalist, bass guitarist or songwriter on other artists' albums. The endless list includes – among others – Gary Moore, John Norum, Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath.

Since 1992, Glenn has started a prolific solo career with a dozen studio albums where he explored all the different sides of his songwriting and influences: from hard rock to funk and more contemporary sounds. He collaborated – among others – with such musicians as Chad Smith (RHCP), Dave Navarro, John Frusciante and many others.

He also founded or took part in some amazing musical alliances such as California Breed (with Jason Bonham and Andrew Watt), Black Country Communion (with Joe Bonamassa) and The Dead Daisies.

Glenn has collaborated with Robbie Williams on his new single “Rocket”, which was released on May 22nd, 2025. The track also features a collaboration from Tony Iommi and will be the first time Glenn has been featured on a record with Tony since 2005, when they released “Fused” together.

Glenn Hughes has also recently joined forces with Satch Vai, a new collaboration by legendary guitar icons Joe Satriani and Steve Vai, by writing and singing on their new single “I Wanna Play My Guitar”.

The Switch - No Way Out

Tom and James Martin first heard Bobby singing a song they had written with Eddie LaValle and instantly knew they had to work with him.

James Martin explained: “I rang Tom up one morning after hearing Bobby sing and told him that he was our guy – we knew straight away we had the right combination with him”.

The brothers then asked their long-term friend and musical collaborator Dennis Butabi Borg if he’d like to play bass on the entire album and join the group.

Tom Martin said: “It’s the best work we’ve ever been part of: James and I never had complete control of an album with writing and mix, so it’s completely to our taste”.

Butabi added: “I couldn’t agree more, after I’d heard the first demo there was no doubt that I wanted a part of this excellent cocktail of fun, retro vibes that reminds me of growing up in the 80’s. It’s like steering a Testarossa in the Outrun arcade machine while chewing Juicy Fruits and cranking music on your walkman. This is 100% the kind of feel-good album that the world needs in these times”.

Not only is The Switch a powerhouse group, but the album was written with a theme. Imagine a movie coming out in the 1980’s that gripped the world the same way 80s classics like “Back To The Future” did, but in a parallel universe.

That movie is called “The Switch” and it’s about a band that goes on a US tour, and encounters trouble with an underworld mob. In a cruel twist of fate, the band must swap guitars for deadly weapons and end up in the ultimate fight for survival. It was the biggest movie of 1987 and spawned this huge soundtrack which you can hear on “No Way Out”!

Oliver Oliver Hartmann, well known as internationally respected singer and guitarist is considered with his band HARTMANN since their debut ’Out in the cold’ in 2005 as one of the best modern German Rock-/ Hard Rock acts. Since then, the band has released 9 successful albums and toured with countless top-acts as Uriah Heep, Toto, The Hooters, Y&T, House Of Lords and many others. The duet ’Simple man’ featuring the outstanding vocalist Eric Martin of Mr. Big has reached more than 1 million streams on Spotify since its release in 2018 as second single of the album ’Hands on the wheel’.
After their latest album ’Get over it’ in 2022, which was enthusiastically accepted by fans worldwide and received once more top reviews by the global rock press, the band is now celebrating their 20th anniversary with the release of the new album ’Twenty times colder’, that again copes with the balancing act between guitar oriented Classic Rock and modernity. The album contains 11 brand new songs incl. the two singles & videos ’Twenty times colder’ and ’This heart’ – two powerful rock tracks that combine classic rock elements with the typical band’s sound, always carried by the unique powerful voice and virtuosic guitar playing of front man Oliver Hartmann.
Recorded at Oliver Hartmann’s Alive Studio and Dennis Ward’s TrakShak Studio the album has again been co-produced, mixed and mastered by Sascha Paeth, who is well known for his outstanding work with Avantasia, Kamelot, Beyond the Black and many others.
The release of the anniversary album ’Twenty times colder’ is accompanied by a headliner tour this autumn that will be presented by the magazines Break Out, Eclipsed, Good Times, Musix and ROCKANTENNE, Germany’s No. 1 rock radio station.
