Thomas Carlsen's Transmission - Clockwork Sky-One With The Storm

Norwegian virtuoso, Thomas Carlsen, announces new album "Clockwork Sky" and drops, new single, melodic rocker, "One With The Storm."
"One with the Storm" is the third and last single off "Clockwork Sky", the sophomore LP from Thomas Carlsen's Transmission. The single brings back the glory days of the early 90's in the Queensryche "Empire" and classic Dokken vein. This one is certain to excite the melodic hard rock fans and please the power rockers as well.
Carlsen states: "One with the Storm is my take on recapturing that special 80s power ballad melancholy. It's the first Transmission tune that features a synthesizer, and it only feels natural when we're dealing with this particular century in Heavy Metal history!" Featured on the new single is Greek vocalist Mike Livas, who delivers a breathtaking performance in the vein of Geoff Tate and Michael Kiske.
"Clockwork Sky", the new album, is out June 6th on Compact Disc and all streaming services. It features four vocalists from around the world, and Thomas Carlsen on all instruments. The singles, "Midnight Queen", "Thunderbird" and "One with the Storm" give listeners a look into the different soundscapes explored on the album, but Carlsen promises a couple of surprises to be found on the full release: "It was hard to decide on the singles, because so many of the tracks have that potential. The only thing left to do now is unleash the entire thing on the world. I have never been this stoked about a release before!"

Multiinstrumentalist und Songwriter THOMAS CARLSEN kehrt zurück mit seinem TRANSMISSION-Projekt.Das ist hier die ZWEITE veröffendlichung des Projektes.
THOMAS CARLSEN hat sich auch wie beim Debüt-Album Gastsänger dazu geholt geholt.U.a Atli Guðlaugsson (Power Paladin),Arnaud Ménard (ex-Alkemyst) und Sebastian Palma (Blizzard Hunter).Und ich finde,das die Herren da am Micro echt gute Arbeit verrichten neben den verdammt gut arrangiertem Songmaterial der 8 Songs!
Das Songmaterial ist schon etwas an die 80er angelehnt.Und das gefällt mir sowieso.Aber kommen wir nochmal zu den Vocals bzw. zu den Gastsängern.Mir hat es besonders Mike Livas (Silent Winter) angetan,der in Geoff Tate-Manier "rumzaubert".Und als Geoff Tate-Fan "muss" mir das ja auch gefallen ;)Das bedeutet jetzt aber nicht,das alle anderen Sänger schlechter sind.Im Gegenteil.Auch diese drücken der gesamten Produktion ihren Stempel auf.
Spass habe ich auch an den Titeln "Chronos Rising" und "Clockwork Sky".Hier zeigt THOMAS CARLSEN sein Können mit der Gitarre!Ja-der Mann kann es einfach!Ich kann mir BILDLICH vorstellen,wie die Finger "rumzaubern" auf dem Griffbrett!
8 Songs...ca. 30 Minuten Spielzeit!Klingt erstmal wenig!ABER...bei der musikalischen Qulität kann ich mir als Musikfan dieses Scheibchen auch mal 3 Mal hintereinander antun und es nervt mich nicht!Ich finde es garnicht mal schlecht,wenn ein Album mal nicht so ein lange Spielzeit hat.Das "ballert" mich nicht so voll.Zumal auch der Album-Sound einfach gut gemixt wurde.Alles in Allem ein tolles Album,welches bei jedem einzelnen Song schön auf den Punkt kommt und mir-wie angesprochen-als Musikfan SPASS macht!

Gabrielle de Val - I am the Hammer

Gabrielle de Val began to get involved in the Rock scene in Madrid, where she started by winning several important contests in Spain with her first band, such as the “Villa de Madrid”. Gradually, music became a very important part of her life.
In 2011, she released her first full album with her band, The Val, titled 'Back', taking advantage of the rise of social networks which allowed the band to be heard beyond their borders. The album was distributed and supported by important media such as Classic Rock Magazine and Fireworks Magazine, which made possible the recording of a second album, 'Heading for the Surface' (2015) and a third one, 'King Ocelot' (2020), all of them with extraordinary reviews from the specialised media.
With The Val, Gabrielle gave major concerts, participated in festivals, toured England and had the opportunity to sing live alongside big names in international Rock such as Robert Tepper (Rockingham Fest, 2015).
In 2022, an album created by Bruce Mee (editor of Fireworks Magazine) and Khalil Turk (Escape Music), ‘The Garden’, by Circle of Friends, was released, in which the vocalist performed an original song written by Mikael Rosengren titled ‘When He’s Gone’, which was highly praised by the specialised press. In this work, she coincided with several of the artists who would later participate in her first solo album.
'Kiss in a Dragon Night', Gabrielle's first solo album, was conceived when Bruce Mee listened to the album 'Back' to write a review for Fireworks Magazine. Somehow, the song that gave the album its title, over time, led him to want to record a full album, and together with producer Khalil Turk (Escape Music), he shaped the idea and created an album involving vocalists such as Steve Overland (FM), Mick Devine (Seven), Robin McAuley (Michael Schenker Band), Mark Boals (Yngwie Malmsteen) and Terry Brock (Strangeways) as well as musicians such as Gary Pihl (Boston), Eric Ragno (Joe Lynn Turner), Johan Kullberg (HammerFall) and Fredrik Folkare (Nordic Union).
After the debut solo album, Gabrielle began working 18 months ago on what had been conceived to be her second album, ‘Cry Wolf’, but due to a delay in production, Gabrielle and Bruce Mee took advantage of the waiting time and wrote a bunch of songs together. Tommy Denander took on the role of producer/musician, leading the creation of a completely new album, titled after one of these recent songs, ‘I Am The Hammer’. Bruce and Gabrielle are the authors of almost all the tracks on the album, except for ‘Show me Heaven’, whose author is Tommy Denander himself, and ‘Princess of Darkness’ which was
written by Mee and Roland Forsman, from the Swedish band Remedy, and which will surely delight fans of that band.
Gabrielle and her band have been playing live over the past year, both in Spain and England, including sets at the inaugural Tower of Fire festival and the revamped Firefest 2024. Several concerts are already planned for 2025, and with the new album ‘I Am the Hammer’ already recorded, and ‘Cry Wolf’ expected to be finished in the coming months…2025 really seems to be shaping up as a very important year for this Spanish-German singer!

14 Melodic-Rock-Songs...Das zweite Album...
Gabrielle de Val ist schon seit 1987 "unterwegs" in der Branche.Da sollte man doch annehmen:Ja...da kommt was-musikalisch und stimmlich!Hm...
Erstmal zum Sound der Produktion:Die ist für meine Ohren ziemlich "trocken" abgemischt.Soundhighlights vermisse ich da.
Stimmlich:Ohne der guten Gabrielle de Val etwas böses zu wollen...ABER viele Stellen in der Gesangsproduktion klingen "krumm"...bei höheren Gesangsparts "säuft" die Stimme ab...Das ist sehr schade.Denn man merkt schon:Da kann GRUNDSÄTZLICH jemand singen!Aber GRUNDSÄTZLICH reich eben nicht aus,um in der Branche durchzustarten...wenn auch auch "nur" ansatzweise!Aber so?Die Produktion klingt für mich nicht ausgereift...um nicht zu sagen UNFERTIG!
Die Songs selbst-ohne Stimme...Naja...Abwechslungsreich JA!Potenzial "Nett gemacht"!Aber eben auch hier eben nur "Nett gemacht"!Ich kenne ja nicht die Erste Scheibe der Dame...Aber wenn das Material genauso war...
Das Cover des Albums...Foto mit Micro...etwas nett gucken...Lederjacke...gemachte Haare...???Nein,Nein und nochmals NEIN!Sorry!Wenn ich schon mein Album "I AM THE HAMMER" nenne,erwarte ich als Fan auch hier etwas mehr als so ein Foto!PUNKT!
Wie erwähnt:Ich will Gabrielle de Val nichts böses.Ganz bestimmt nicht.Aber was nutzt es denn,wenn ich die Dinge hier SCHÖNREDE.Und das hier ist einfach nicht nur nicht schön für meine Ohren...ich finde es schade,das diese Produktion-die ja auch Geld gekostet hat und auch wieder was einspielen soll-einfach "nicht gut"!

TIFFANY KILLS - World on Fire

Experience, energy, fun and quite a show... that is TIFFANY KILLS! The six members have earned their spurs in the world of Rock'n'Roll. Combined they play on a few dozen records, have toured the world and decided in 2023 to throw each and everyone's catalogue in the middle with one goal in mind: an entertaining classic, heavy rock show. Since then TIFFANY KILLS supported VANDENBERG and TYKETTO and played several shows on their own.
TIFFANY KILLS is fronted by John „Jaycee“ Cuijpers, who is one of the strongest singers and frontman in the Netherlands, if not in Europe. He plays or played with Praying Mantis, AYREON, Cooper Inc. and many, many more. Mathias „Don“ Dieth was one of the musical minds behind Udo Dirkschneiders solo career U.D.O. in the 1990s and is considered as one of the best German metal guitar players until this day. Christian Tolle has initiated his C.T.P. project and worked with many artists around the world, such as Steve Lukather, John Parr, David Reece, Doug Aldrich to name just a few. He also wrote for Vengeance, Bangalore Choire, Reece or Tango Down.
The rhythm section consits of two real groovemeisters: Tom Baer hits the low strings and complements the energetic Tom Wetzels on drums to a tight and rockin' powerhouse. With Mendy Sneijers' female vocal power the band is complete.
Writing and production for the band’s debut record started in 2024. World On Fire was recorded, produced and mixed by Christian Tolle and mastered by Grammy nominee Christoph Stickel in Vienna. The result is a great collection of 10 hard rockin’, pumping and groovin songs, that will blow your roof off. From heavy scorchers, to classic rockers and tracks with a blues-rock root peaking in the heavy metalish title track „World On Fire“, that hits the current state of the world in a perfect manner. The full album spins a wide range of classic hard rockin flavour, always with a groove, hooks and high energy.

Locker,flockig...Heavy-Rock...
Bekannte Leute sind hier auch am Start:Sänger John „Jaycee“ Cuijpers (u.a. Praying Mantis, Ayreon) und Gitarrist Mathias „Don“ Dieth (bei vier U.D.O Alben dabei) und aktuell auch bei Dirkschneider & The Old Gang an der Gitarre.
Was mir gleich am Anfang auffält,ist die Stimme von Sänger John „Jaycee“ Cuijpers.Die passt hier zu ALLEN Songs des Albums.
Grundsätzlich hör ich auf diesem Album Heavy-Rock,HardRock,AOR...etwas Blues...Also musikalisch die Gesamte Bandbreite.Und die wird auch voll "ausgespielt" undeingebracht.Unterm Strich:Ein verdammt gutes Album mit verdammt viel Abwechslung.Die Produktion ist gut abgemixt und hat den Druck und die Ausgeglichenheit,den ich bei einer guten Produktion erwarte.Die Songs selbst:Interessantes Zeug,das einfach Spass macht.Viele Nuancen...Viele interessante Passagen innerhalb der Songs.Manches klingt irgend wie-wenn man mal die Stimme "wegdenkt" nach U.D.O...)Klasse!Alles schön groovig!Alles in Allem eine RUNDE SACHE!ich glaube,man hatte im Studio jede Menge Spass.Und das kommt der Produktion zu Gute!
Wer also The Dead Daisies,Gotthard z.b abgeht,dem dürfte das Album sehr gefallen.Für ein Debüt-Album finde ich die Scheibe mehr als "nur" gelungen.Klar...Das erte Album hat immer noch Luft nach oben...Auch das hier!Aber es klingt schon sehr erwachsen was ich hier höre und macht Lust auf mehr.Und:Einen Song hier rauszupicken wäre nicht RICHTIG!Warum?Ganz einfach:Das GESAMTE Album mit ALLEN Songs überzeugt mich...wenn auch mit wenigen Abstrichen.Aber ich denke,da wird noch was hinterherkommen!Der Anfang ist gemacht mit diesem gelungenen Album!

Vocalist Nathan James commented on the new single: “Say What You Wanna Say” is the kind of track that all the Inglorious fans are going to love. It's that high energy high tempo vibe with lots of punch, but also with a bit of a twist. Colin wrote this musically and I love the chorus. It's a big tune and one I'm really looking forward to doing live”.
Bassist Colin Parkinson added: “The track is a statement of attitude with a punk meets Mötley Crüe feel. Nathan was very open to changing up vocal styles and trying new approaches on this, which has worked really well. I look forward to playing this one live!”
Regarding the new album, he added: “I am extremely happy to be returning to Inglorious after a while away. It’s the right time to get some kickass new music out there for the fans and to focus on the future. Writing and recording with Nathan again has been the easiest it’s ever been; it all flowed so well. We’ve all played and sang our asses off on these songs and I know the new album will not disappoint!”
Lead singer Nathan James stated: “In the summer of 2023, I sent a message to Colin and asked him if he wanted to come for a pint. A few meetings and writing sessions later, we had more than an album’s worth of great material and I can honestly say I've enjoyed every second of creating this album with him and the new line up. Colin has always been a great songwriter and over the years we've both matured as artists, writers, performers and people. This is going to be a great year for Inglorious and I'm excited to welcome Colin back and to share this new music with everyone”.
Inglorious returns with frontman Nathan James and original bassist Colin Parkinson. Nathan James, who founded the band in 2014, has been singing professionally for 20 years. He has performed/recorded with artists such as Ginger Baker, Uli Jon Roth and The Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
More recently, he has appeared in Jeff Wayne’s musical version of The War Of The Worlds, Steve Steinman’s Vampires Rock Symphonic, 80’s Classical and Zeppelin Symphonic. Nathan also fronts Supergroup Iconic, under the Frontiers roster featuring Michael Sweet, Joel Hoekstra, Marco Mendoza and Tommy Aldridge.
In 2022, after a lengthy UK tour, Inglorious announced a hiatus. After seven years of non-stop touring with bands such as The Winery Dogs, Steel Panther, The Dead Daisies, Last In Line, as well as their own international tours and festival appearances, recording four original albums, a live album and a covers album, everyone felt it was the right time to take a break.
Nathan is now back, looking forward to unleashing his powerful voice and he joined forces once again with original Inglorious bass player and main co-writer Colin Parkinson, who co-wrote and released the first three albums with the band: “Inglorious”, “II” and “Ride To Nowhere”.
Joining them is renowned guitarist Richard Shaw, best known for his work with English extreme metal band Cradle Of Filth, as well as NG26, Emperor Chung, and Plague Of Angels. Richard brings exceptional musicality and a fresh energy to the band’s sound.
On drums, longtime friend of Nathan, Henry Rogers, completes the line up. A celebrated musician, Henry has played with Touchstone, Mostly Autumn, Mia Klose, and Mark Kelly’s Marathon and has earned accolades such as “Drummer Of The Year” in Classic Rock Prog Magazine and Rhythm Magazine’s list of influential progressive drummers.
Produced by Colin Parkinson, “V” was mixed by Tony Draper, who also worked on “Inglorious II” and “Ride To Nowhere”, ensuring the album retains the band’s signature sound while exploring new heights.

Der 5. Streich...Das letzte Mal gab´s was zu hören im Jahr 2021...Ein "Richtiges Album und ein Album mit diversen Cover-Nummern.Danach kam irgendwie garnichts mehr.Vielleicht eine schöpferische Pause?Und jetzt?
Was gleich ins Ohr ballert,ist die tolle Stimme von Sänger Nathan James (u.a. auch TRANS SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA,Uli Jon Roths Ban).Der Mann macht einmal mehr einen fantastischen Job am Mico bzw. mit seinen Stimmbändern.Für mich ist er einer der Besten Sänger neben vielen anderen.Ich möchte sogar behaupten,das er jede Band,die unbekannt ist,seine Stempel aufdrückt bzw. aufdrücken würde.Der Mann verleiht einer Band Glanz!
UND Inglorious können Ohrwürmer.Das Songwriting gefällt mir ausnahmslos.Liegt wahrscheinlich auch daran,das die Zusammenstellung der Band zusammenpasst!Oder nennt man das Talent auf höchster,musikalischer Ebene?Wahrscheinlich...Wenn diese Band so weitermacht,dann wird die Band irgendwann ganz,ganz oben in der 1. Liga stehen!Einen Namen haben sie sich ohnehin schon gemacht in der Branche.
Musikalische hat sich nicht soviel verändert oder gar geändert.Ich höre viels Riffs und viele Hooks.Mal Hardrock.Mal Heavy!Und das Ganz sehr eingängig und auf den Punkt.Der Sound steht ebenfalls.Schön Fett gemischt im Studio das Scheibchen!
Geil finde ich auch die Bassarbeit von Colin Parkinson,der auch wieder dabei ist.Da wird schön gezaubert mit dem Bass!Zur Gitarrenarbeit muss man auch nicht viele Worte verlieren.PERFEKT!Die Drums?Da ist ebenfalls ein Könner am Start
Alles in Allem ein Klasse Album.Kaufen!

Drummer Mikko Korsbäck described the new track: “This song is dedicated to all world leaders, with the powers in their hands to create peace. But instead, they use their powers for waging wars in different parts of the world. And mighty politicians care more about selling weapons to both sides in a war, instead of helping the suffering people. These leaders are not No One's Heroes... They're just simple clowns”.
About the new album, the band commented: “The Great Apocalypse picks up just where Insania V left us, and many of the songs are touching the subject of mankind being destructive and never learning from our previous mistakes. In fact, every song on this album is a little bit darker than the songs on Insania V, so sit back, raise the volume on your device, and let yourself flow into the darkness of our world going under with an incredible and beautiful sound of The Great Apocalypse”.
Four years after the successful “V”, the Swedes are back with their own recipe of power metal, full of speedy, double-bass drums, great hooks, and amazing solos. The band's current line-up consists of Mikko Korsbäck (drums), Erik Arkö (bass), Niklas Dahlin (guitars), Ola Halén (vocals and guitars).
The first version of Insania was formed in 1992 by drum player Mikko Korsbäck and guitar player Henrik Juhano. Bass player Tomas Stolt was added to the line-up shortly after, and a few other musicians were also part of the band for short periods of time.
The band initially started off playing covers of their favorite bands such as Helloween and Iron Maiden, but eventually Mikko’s classmate Niklas Dahlin joined as a second guitar player and they started writing their own tunes. The band then added keyboard player Patrik Västilä and began to pursue a more melodic style. Mikko took it upon himself to sing, even if he was playing the drums at the same time, as the band had not found a vocalist to match their ambitions.
In 1997, the band approached singer David Henriksson to join the band. The union between the band's ambitions and David’s vocals was a match made in heaven. The band felt complete and sought to find a way to reach a bigger crowd.
Later, the band was offered a deal with House Of Kicks (later known as MNW and then Sound Pollution) and their debut album “World Of Ice” was released in 1999. The band would go on to release three more albums over the course of the coming years, while enduring some line-up changes and eventually going on hiatus in 2007.
Following the signing with Frontiers to release “V”, Insania started to bring their power metal attack again back to the metalheads around the globe, revitalized with the addition of the singer extraordinaire Ola Halén.

Powermetal ist selten mein Ding.Das muss ich mal sagen...
Vier jahre nach dem Album "V" hauen die Herrschaften auch mal wieder ein Album raus.Vier lange Jahre musste die Fans warten.Man nimmt hier die Lage der Welt ins Visier als "Thema" für dieses Album Warum auch nicht..?Kann man machen!Das nennt man dann wohl "Konzept-Album".Ich mag diesen Ausdruck garnicht.Denn...JEDES ALBUM funktioniert ohnen jegliches Konzept garnicht!
Frontmann und Gitarrist Ola Halén bringt das Ganze hier mal fröhlich,mal melancholisch zu Gehör.Die Stimme passt in "Zusammenarbeit" mit der Musik ganz gut.Aber Überraschendes birgt die Scheibe nun auch nicht.Alles ist gut arrangiert...klingt insich auf den Punkt gespielt und Produziert...Und das war es dann auch!Es reißt mich nicht zu Begeisterungsstürmen hin.Ich will jetzt nicht behaupten,das die Zeit für Powermetal vorbei ist.Powermetalbands haben ihre Fans und das Genre hat seinen Platz.Aber der Hype ist weniger geworden...Die Jungs machen eine soliden Job und stehen voll zu ihrem Ding mit Leidenschaft.Das ist auch OK!Als Musiker ist hier jeder in der Band ein Könner!Vielleicht muss man aber auch mal MUSIKALISCH "umdenken"!Man sollte nicht 10 Jahre oder länger musikalisch zurückgehen!

This new collection of previously unreleased live concerts features sound-desk and audience recordings capturing a host of line- ups with guitar legends Mick Taylor, Harvey Mandel, Walter Trout and Coco Montoya; drummers extraordinaire Keef Hartley, Mike Gardner and Colin Allen; bass supremos Larry Taylor, John McVie, Steve Thompson and horn maestros Blue Mitchell, Johnny Almond and Clifford Solomon all featured along with many more.
Mayall’s influence and appeal was worldwide; the selection of recordings herein showcasing his timeless, singular sound. Captured from 30 incredible performances from cities including New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Paris, Milan, London, and more, the collection spans a 25-year period and offers a comprehensive view of Mayall’s legendary live prowess.
This box set coincides with John Mayall’s much-deserved induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and was approved and fully supported by John Mayall before his sad passing last year. The Mayall estate also supplied two very special privately recorded shows for this box set, both performances coming from Gaz Mayall’s legendary club night Gaz’s Rockin’ Blues in 1981 and 1982 respectively. The former features Alexis Korner and the latter is a rare example of John and his sons Gaz and Ben all appearing onstage together.
The set also Includes a large hardback book with many previously unseen photos plus a commemorative art print.
John’s career is legendary, and his influence spread far beyond the confines of the blues scene. Inspired by renowned American blues players, his music career began while at Art school playing with fellow student Peter Ward and other local bands. Following advice to move to London’s burgeoning British Blues scene he immediately found an enthusiastic receptive audience. His own obsession with the blues found a natural home in clubs like the Marquee, The Flamingo, The Scene and Klooks Kleek, all finding fertile proving grounds for Mayall’s style and various line-ups. His reputation quickly grew as he introduced upcoming exciting new talent into his Bluesbreakers line-ups. Throughout his musical career Mayall provided a springboard for musicians who would themselves move on to greater recognition in some of the world’s greatest bands - Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce, John McVie, Mick Taylor and Peter Green to name just a few. His ability to give opportunities to new artists earnt him the nickname the Godfather of British Blues.

Their 1973 debut album introduced the world to their unmistakable blend of blues, country, and hard rock. At the peak of their success, in 1977, a devastating plane crash claimed the lives of lead singer Ronnie Van Zant, guitarist Steve Gaines, and backup vocalist Cassie Gaines, leaving the music world in shock. Despite the unimaginable loss, Lynyrd Skynyrd’s legacy endured, and their music remained a beacon of Southern rock.
In 1987, the band reformed with Ronnie’s younger brother, Johnny Van Zant, taking over as lead vocalist. Lynyrd Skynyrd continued to tour and record, with guitarist Rickey Medlocke returning to the fold in 1996. Throughout the years, the band has remained a driving force in rock, honoring their roots while bringing their signature sound to new audiences.
Though founding member Gary Rossington's passing in 2023 marked the end of an era, Lynyrd Skynyrd’s influence remains stronger than ever. Their enduring music, spirit, and legacy will forever stand as a testament to the power of rock and roll.

Nicklas Sonne is a Danish musician, vocalist, guitarist, and producer known for his powerful presence in progressive and heavy metal. He began his musical experience as a drummer before moving onto the guitar and ultimately becoming a singer songwriter in an array of metal and hard rock projects, starting with Defecto, one of Denmark’s leading metal bands – created in 2010.
In addition to Defecto, Nicklas is part of Aries Descendant along with Jonah Weingarten (Pyramaze, Catalyst Crime). The dynamic duo released their debut album on Frontiers Music Srl on October 18th, 2024. It is a groundbreaking project that seamlessly fuses the evocative allure of film music with the raw power of heavy metal, creating an auditory experience that is nothing short of extraordinary.
A multi-instrumentalist from an early age, Nicklas honed his skills by playing along to Metallica and Dream Theater, later diving into songwriting and production. His talent quickly gained industry attention, leading to collaborations with renowned producers Jan Langhoff (Aqua) and Flemming Rasmussen (Metallica). This pivotal moment shaped his signature sound - progressive metal infused with orchestral and choral elements.

Malvada was initially formed in March 2020, during the beginning of the pandemic. With a rock n' roll style full of personality, the band quickly attracted attention as one of the most promising acts in the Brazilian rock scene.
In January 2021, Malvada released their first single entitled "Mais Um Gole", which gained greater prominence in the scene. Shortly afterwards, in May of the same year, it was time to release the second single "Cada Escolha uma Renúncia", which preceded the launch of the band's debut album, "A Noite Vai Ferver".
In the years 2022 and 2023, Malvada solidified its presence on the national rock panorama, performing more than a hundred shows in several cities in Brazil. In November 2023, Malvada, composed of Indira Castillo, Bruna Tsuruda, Rafaela Reoli and Juliana Salgado surprised with a big announcement: the band has become the newest signee of the prestigious Italian label Frontiers Records, which has renowned bands in its catalog such as Mr. Big, Asia, Whitesnake, Jeff Scott Soto, among others, promising to take them to a new level, with opportunities to expand their reach and conquer the global market.
The new album, produced by the Brazilian Grammy awarded producer Giu Daga, promises a powerful and exciting musical experience and will be the band's first work featuring tracks in English/Portuguese, aiming to conquer a global audience.

The band commented on the new track, by saying: “LEECHER is a scream disguised as a song - born from the urge to call out the toxic patterns we sometimes tolerate. It’s about those people who feed off your energy, twist your words, and hide behind false concern while pulling the strings. We’ve all met someone like that. This track is about waking up to it - seeing the manipulation clearly and refusing to play along anymore”.
“Lyrically, it’s sharp, sarcastic, and rooted in truth - not just anger, but clarity. There’s freedom in naming things for what they are and breaking the roles others try to put you in. Sonically, it hits hard: distorted, punchy, relentless. Every riff is designed to cut through the noise like a slap to the face”, they added. “LEECHER is a statement: I see you, I’m done, and I won’t shrink to make you comfortable”.
About the EP, the band stated:
“MODERN WORLD SURVIVORS II is for anyone who’s ever felt too much in a world that listens too little. It’s for the gaslit, the shut down, the ones who’ve been guilt-tripped into silence - and still found a way to make noise. Each track is a snapshot of resistance: LEECHER confronts manipulation with venom and truth; BAD DECISIONS embraces the beautiful mess of recklessness; MORPHIA howls from the edge of numbness, and DON’T WANNA BE LIKE YOU goes straight for the throat of hypocrisy”.
“This EP lives in the tension between chaos and clarity. The lyrics are confessional, confrontational, sometimes self-destructive - but never hollow. They’re laced with irony, pain, and the raw need to break free from anything fake, expected, or imposed”, they continued.
“Musically, it’s cathartic and intimate: distorted guitars, punchy rhythms, and haunting melodies form a wall of sound that feels like fists against the walls and voices breaking through static. It’s a darker, more resolved end to the storm we started in Part I - less about survival, more about defiance. We didn’t write these songs to be safe. We wrote them to feel alive. If you’ve ever felt like the only sane person in a twisted system - this one’s for you”.
PEAKS! are an exceptional alternative rock duo from Turin, Italy, who started their musical journey towards the end of 2020 with the jaw dropping debut song ‚ “Blackout”, that amassed over 2 million Spotify streams.
The band are intensely creative and have formed a very strong distinctive image through their visual output since the start: they shoot and create their own videos and content, while collaborating with the renowned Italian graphic designer Giulia Lunge, to realise and stay true to their vision.
From big fuzzy guitar riffs to catchy hooks, their musical influences draw from 70s rock to 90/2000s Electro Pop, as well as current bands such as The Score, Twenty One Pilots, Imagine Dragons, grandson, YUNGBLUD, Bishop Briggs, Welshly Arms, SAINT PHNX and more.
PEAKS! debuted live at The Great Escape (2022) in Brighton, gaining huge acclaim that led to festival slots at 2000 Trees in the UK and supporting Pearl Jam at BST Hyde Park in London, then Placebo in Mantova (Italy), their Italian debut in front of 10,000 people. They wrapped up 2022 by playing with Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes.
2023 saw PEAKS! returning to The Great Escape in Brighton, playing at the first Slam Dunk in Italy, followed by support slots with Dead Poets Society in Holland, and summer shows with Placebo in Italy and Switzerland. They played with Placebo again in 2024, as well as performing at the Storing Festival in The Netherlands.
Over the years, PEAKS! have received great support from DSPs, including placements on New Music Friday playlists across Europe on Spotify, and Fresh Rock and New Rock playlists on Amazon Music.
The band have been featured on BBC Radio 1’s ‘Future Artists’ with Jack Saunders and on Kerrang! Radio, as well as earning strong airplay in the UK and across Europe. On TV, their music has been used on Love Island in the UK and on BBC’s Match of the Day, as well as on various US sync projects.

1976, ein Jahr nach Gründung der Band, stand die bahnbrechende Besetzung von Motörhead fest. In der sogenannten "Three Amigos"-Ära von Motörhead schlossen sich Lemmy (Bass/Gesang), Fast Eddie Clarke (Gitarre) und Phil “Philthy Animal” Taylor (Schlagzeug) zusammen und begannen ihren außergewöhnlichen Weg an die Spitze der Hardrock-Elite.
Im August 1976 traf sich die Band im legendären Manticore Studio von Emerson, Lake and Palmer in Fulham, um zu proben und die neue Besetzung zu präsentieren. Dort nahmen sie zum allerersten Mal gemeinsam auf und jetzt, 49 Jahre später, ist dieses lange verschollene Band wieder aufgetaucht, entstaubt und in all seiner Pracht restauriert worden, um das 50-jährige Jubiläum der wegweisenden Hardrock-Band zu feiern.
Es ist ziemlich surreal, geradezu unglaublich, dass seit dieser entscheidenden Zeit im Jahr 1976 ein halbes Jahrhundert vergangen ist. Ebenso bemerkenswert – vor allem für diejenigen, die sich an Lemmy erinnern, als er an den Spielautomaten in Londoner Pubs zockte oder die ihn als den in außergewöhnlichstem Maße zugänglichen Rockstar seiner Zeit wahrnahmen – ist der Aufstieg dieses stets bescheidenen Mannes zur ultimativen Rock’n’Roll-Ikone, die Mount-Rushmore-artige Unsterblichkeit erlangte, und das, obwohl er leider schon vor fast zehn Jahren verstorben ist. Lemmy selbst hätte darüber sicherlich hämisch gelacht.
Die hartnäckigen Kämpfe, die Motörhead in den ersten vier ihrer mittlerweile 50 Jahre durchmachten, sind gut dokumentiert und die beinahe zufällige Manifestation dieses Albums – sowie die Umstände, unter denen es aufgenommen wurde – stellen ein bislang kaum bekanntes neues Element in der Geschichte der Band dar, aus dieser Zeit, als ihre Zukunft düster ausgesehen hätte, wenn die Ereignisse nicht einen anderen Lauf genommen hätten.
Zu dieser frühen Geschichte gehörte auch ein wenig erwähnter Mann namens Frank Kennington, der als Roadie für The Who arbeitete, bevor er ins Management wechselte und kurzzeitig die sich durchkämpfenden Motörhead übernahm. Einer von Kenningtons Schachzügen bestand darin, das Trio für das umgebaute ABC-Kino in der Fulham Palace Road zu buchen, das als Hauptquartier der Prog-Supergroup Emerson, Lake and Palmer diente – bekannt als Manticore. Benannt nach der mythischen Bestie aus der persischen Folklore, die ihre Albumcover zierte, war Manticore ein One-Stop-Shop für Bands: Der Vorführraum beherbergte Büros, während der sitzlose Hauptsaal eine nützliche Klangbühne für Bandproben bot. Motörhead ließen sich im Manticore nieder und nahmen ihr Set in Ronnie Lanes mobilem Studio auf, das von Ronnies gutem Freund Ron Faucus bedient wurde.
Faucus gelang es hervorragend, Motörheads wachsende rohe Kraft und High-Speed-Attacken in Songs einzufangen, die bis 1979 Teil ihres Live-Sets bleiben sollten. Diese alternden Bänder wurden durch die sorgfältige Restaurierung aus den Händen des langjährigen Motörhead-Mitarbeiters Cameron Webb in den Maple Studios in Kalifornien wieder zum Leben erweckt und von Andrew Alekel im Bolskine House in Los Angeles gemastert. Das Ergebnis ist ein wahrhaft historischer Moment in der Evolution der größten Ikonen des Hardrock, mit dem ein wichtiger Teil der Entwicklung und Geschichte von Motörhead restauriert und erstmals der Öffentlichkeit zugänglich gemacht wird.
