Aufgrund der großen Nachfrage veröffentlicht die einflussreiche Alternative-Rock-Band GARBAGE ihr viertes Studioalbum "Bleed Like Me" zum ersten Mal seit seiner ursprünglichen Veröffentlichung im Jahr 2005 auf Vinyl. "Bleed Like Me" erscheint am 5. April über Stunvolume/BMG.

Diese erweiterte Neuauflage von "Bleed Like Me" aus dem Jahr 2005 wurde komplett neu gemastert und erscheint als 2CD Edition, 1LP silberfarbendes Vinyl, 2LP Deluxe rotes Vinyl und digitale HD-Formate.
Shirley Manson kommentiert die erweiterte Neuauflage von "Bleed Like Me" wie folgt:
"Dieses Album war schwierig zu realisieren und führte dazu, dass die Band kurz nach seiner Veröffentlichung eine fünfjährige Pause einlegte. Im Laufe der Jahre hat es sich jedoch zu einem festen Bestandteil unserer Diskografie entwickelt, so dass wir uns aufgrund der vielen Bitten unserer Fans entschlossen haben, es endlich auf Vinyl zu veröffentlichen."
"Bleed Like Me" war bei seiner Erstveröffentlichung im April 2005 ein Top-5-Albumhit in Großbritannien, den USA, Australien und erreichte Top-Postionen in Europa. Aus dem Album wurden vier Singles ausgekoppelt: "Why Do You Love Me", eine Top-10-Single in Großbritannien, "Bleed Like Me" und "Sex Is Not The Enemy", die beide zu festen Bestandteilen der Liveshows der Band wurden sowie "Run Baby Run", das von einem Musikvideo unter der Regie von Sophie Muller begleitet wurde.
Garbage spielen dieses Jahr eine Reihe von Festival-Shows, darunter europäische und britische Termine auf dem Mad Cool in Madrid (10.-13. Juli) und dem TRNSMT in Glasgow (12.-14. Juli).

MEINUNG:
Das vorliegend Album von GARBAGE „Bleed Like Me“ war 2005 das erste Top 10 Album und auch die 78 Shows umfassende Tour,welche auch sehr erfolgreich war.ABER...danach war es quasi "vorbei" mit der Band und man gönnte sich eine Auszeit...Schade!Denn dieses Album war schon ziemlich erfolgreich.
Jetzt nun erscheint die NEUAUFLAGE in der "erweiterten Form" am 05. April 2024 erstmals auf Vinyl beim bandeigenen Label Stunvolume und dazu noch mit umfangreichen Bonusmaterial (auf der Doppel-LP oder CD).
Und immer noch klingt das Material so FRISCH wie 2005!Auch wenn es eine Neuauflage ist,zählt dieses Album immer noch zu den Alben für mich,die du immer hören kannst.Und erst recht nach so vielen Jahren und darüberhinaus.Ein "Zeitloses Album",mit guter Musik,die im Ohr hängenbleibt!

A Neverending John’s Dream - Coming Back to Paradise

A Neverending John’s Dream is a Melodic Hard ‘n’ Heavy band formed in Barcelona in 2022 when Joan M. Heredia (drums, vocal, and composer) teamed up with David Vidal (guitars), Paul E. Schuster (bass) and Xavier Miró (keyboards).
Joan M. Heredia started to play drums, to sing and to write songs more than 20 years ago, has been playing in dozens of bands but so far never has thought about releasing own material until now.
A Neverending John’s Dream’s debut album, “Coming Back to Paradise”, was completely written and produced by Joan M. Heredia. The recordings and the mix took place at Moontower Studios in Barcelona. Erik Mårtensson (Eclipse) at Mass Destruction Production Studios (Sweden) mastered this release. The cover artwork and the CD layout were designed by Jan Yrlund, at Darkgrove Design (Finland); photos were taken by Irene Serrano.
“Coming Back to Paradise” is a melodic hard ‘n’ heavy album, with a late 80s/ early 90s feel, but with an up to date production. The lyrics are telling stories about a lot of experiences, centred in human condition, music, and nature. The song chosen as a single with a video clip (filmed by Visual Noise Barcelona) is “Coming Back to Paradise”, a veritable hard rock hit with the homonymous title of the album.
The meaning of the band’s name is a bit philosophic. The creation of music has no end (Neverending), and this fact, is like a dream for Joan M. Heredia (John).

Ich muss schon mal sagen: Ein beachtliches Debüt...
...welches sehr Keyboardlastig daher kommt.Und nach 2 Songs dachte ich:"Etwas viel Keyboards."ABER...man kann sich denn auch mal irren.Besser gesagt:Diese vielen Keyboardpassagen passen zu der Band.Auch der Gesang,der ebenfalls am Anfang mich nicht unbedingt zu Beifallsbekundungen hat hinreißen lassen.Denn wenn man da mal vernümftig zuhört,wird man feststellen,das da jemand SINGT bzw. singen kann und keine "dummen Dinge" von sich gibt.Aber zugegeben:Es klingt "langweilig".Dem ist aber nicht so.Da werden nicht nur die Stimmbänder verdammt gut eingesetzt,sondern auch der Kopf!
Nochmal zurück zu den "Keyboard-Passagen"...Junge,Junge...die machen mir ebenfalls echt LAUNE.Die Abwechslung innerhalb des Materails zwischen Keyboards und Stimme...Das hamoniert verdammt gut.
Nicht vergessen möchte ich die Gitarrenarbeit!Diese ist Vergleich zur Stimme und den Keys eher "unauffällig",aber arbeitet sich Song für Song dann doch etwas in den Vordergrund!Und wenn man da auch mal hinhört,wird man auch feststellen,das die Gitarrenarbeit ebenfalls Klasse ist!
Für ein Debütalbum ist das schon ein verdammt beachtliches Album.Da greifen alle Räder ineinander.Ich kann euch dieses Album wirklich empfehlen.Allerdings möchte ich-und das meine ich nicht abwertend-diesem Album nicht die volle Punktzahl geben.Grund:Etwas Anreiz für die Band muss bleiben und ich möchte ein evtl. Nachfolgealbum abwarten.Sollte das dann ebenfalls mindestens genausogut sein (oder vielleicht besser) gibt es von mir die vollen 10!

ALICATE - Heaven Tonight

Alicate was formed in the late eighties by lead vocalist/guitarist Jonas Erixon and bass player Fredrik Ekberg. They released a 7” single called “The End/Too Shy To Take It” which is a collectors piece today.
They toured in Sweden and Finland and also supported Ian Gillan on his "Toolbox Tour" in 1992. During the mid-nineties the band was put on ice.
Fast forward to 2006, where the Alicate reformed and started to work on new material that resulted in their first full length album called “World Of Anger” (released in 2009). The same year they did a successful appearance at Sweden rock festival.
The success of this album and the popularity of their concerts, led to the release of their second album, “Free Falling” in 2013. Their third Full length album, “Unforgiven To Be Forgiven”, followed in 2018 together with a Live EP called “Live At Forum”.
The creativity was reaching soaring levels when Covid sadly hit the world and put the progress on hold for the band. However, Jonas Erixon still wrote songs and collaborated with some high profile artists and wrote/co-wrote songs for Giant, Skills (with Billy Sheehan and Brad Gillis) and Sweet Oblivion (Geoff Tate).
During the Pandemic, work also started on new material for Alicate. The band looked for a natural progression from their previous heavy album that would result in a more melodic version of the group, adding even more hooks to the songs. The result was the most successful album to date "Butterfly" (released 2022 via Pride & Joy Music).
The Swedish quartet quickly started recording their next release in the same vein. The result is their new album called "Heaven tonight" (2024) that was recorded and mixed in Spjutseroad Studios and Blind Mans Aim Studios which will now be released again on Pride & Joy Music on April 19th, 2024.

Man hört deutlich den Einfluss des American Rock der Achtzigerjahre: schnelles Schlagzeug,nette Gitarrenriffs und Gesang und gute Harmonien.
Irgendwie erinnert mich das ganze fast an Van Halen. Klasse finde ich die eingängigen Refrains.Ohrwürmer sind garantiert!
Die Vocals klingen ebenfalls SUPER-ohne,das sie nerven und in oberen Höhen irgendwelche akkrobatischen Dinge zu vollführen.HIER singt jemand!Die Stimme erinnert mich etwas an David Coverdale...Ist aber keine Kopie;)Allerdings vermisse ich etwas:Das diese Stimme mal so RICHTIG explodiert!Das bedeutet nicht,das die Vocals schlecht-davon bin ich ganz weit weg,das zu behaupten.ABER...ich hab immer das Gefühl:Da würde noch mehr gehen!Aber das ist vielleicht "nur meine Meinung...
Was mir besonders auffällt:Der Flangingeffekt der Gitarre(n)!Schön.
Die Songs:GROOVIG,gefühlvoll und abwechslungsreich.So schlicht möchte ich das mal beschreiben
Hinzukommt, - und das mag ich auch - das man das,was der Mann am Bass spielt sehr gut wahrnimmt!
Manchmal hab ich bei anderen Bands das Gefühl,das der Mann am Bass garnicht dabei ist...
Die Keyboards sind dafür sehr dezent eingesetzt worden-da muss man manchmal schon genau hinhören. Aber das macht garnichts.An den passenden Stellen kommen diese gut zur Geltung!
Der Sound...Nun gut...Der ist,wie auf und bei den meißten Alben,gut bis sehr gut!Mit der heutigen Technik ist eben viel möglich!Aber trotzdem muss man auch gute Ohren im Studio haben,um den passenden Sound zu "drehen"-egal,ob jetzt am PC oder mit dem Mischpult!DAS kann nicht jeder;)
Insgesamt ein interessantes Album,das man sich ohne Zweifel ins "Regal" stellen kann und auch gut hören kann.Super Arbeit!

Four Trips Ahead Mastermind PETER WILSON kündigt mit dem kraftvollen Modern Hardrock Album „Freedom’s Door“ die Veröffentlichung seines Solodebüts für den 05. April 2024 über Dr. Music Records an. Die Entstehungszeit des Albums war für den New Yorker mit vielen Höhen und Tiefen verbunden. Zum einen verlor er in dieser Zeit seine beiden Eltern und wurde aber auch Vater eines Sohnes. Dazu beeinflusste den Musiker beim Schreiben und Komponieren der Songs auch der Wahnsinn der Pandemie in Kombination mit all den politischen Spannungen in den USA und auf der ganzen Welt. Für ihn selbst war es eine Zeit, in der er tief in sich gehen und seine Seele ohne Angst oder Reue offenbaren konnte. PETER WILSON setzte bei der Produktion seiner Songs auf talentierte Musiker aus der Gegend rund um New York City, um älteres Material zu vollenden und neue Songs zu schreiben. „Freedom’s Door“ wurde, wie schon das Four Trips Ahead Album zuvor, von Nik Chinboukas (u. a. Metal Allegiance, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Alex Skolnick Trio) produziert, vom Grammy- und Emmy-Preisträger Nick Cipriano (u. a. Dream Theater, Twisted Sister, Erasure) gemischt sowie vom legendären Mastering Engineer Roger Lian (u. a. Rush, Muse, Slayer, Pantera, Coheed and Cambria) veredelt. Auf „Freedom’s Door“ heißt PETER WILSON seine Hörer mit seinem einzigartigen, energiegeladenen Progressive Power Rock willkommen und überzeugt sie mit seinem dynamischen Stimmumfang, einem ausgeprägten Gespür für eingängige Melodien sowie fesselnden Lyrics.
Die Anfänge von PETER WILSONs Hauptband Four Trips Ahead gehen auf das Jahr 2003 zurück, als sich die erfahrenen New Yorker Musiker erstmals auf der Suche nach einem neuen kreativen Betätigungsfeld trafen. Schon bald brachte das Quartett seine energiegeladene Musik an die US-Ostküste und weiter in die gesamten Vereinigten Staaten. Hier lässt PETER WILSON seine ganze Lebenserfahrung als Sohn eines gebürtigen Jamaikaners einfließen und verarbeitet den Hass und die Narben, die sein harter Kampf um einen Platz in dieser Welt hinterlassen hat. Denn auch für ihn ist es seine Heimat. Die Gesangsaufnahmen fanden zufällig am Jahrestag der rechtsradikalen Unite the Right-Kundgebung in Charlottesville statt, sodass die Stimmung im Studio aufgeladen war und PETER WILSON seine Frustration und Wut über den mangelnden Fortschritt in den USA in seiner Performance kanalisierte.
Aufbauend auf seiner langjährigen Tätigkeit als Frontmann einer der führenden New Yorker Rockbands, Four Trips Ahead, ist das Soloalbum „Freedom’s Door“ ein kraftvolles, mutiges Statement einer inspirierenden Stimme des Modern Hardrocks.

PETER WILSON kannte ich bisher nicht. Seine Band FOUR TRIPS AHEAD,bei denen er laut Info seit 2003 den Frontmann ist,ist mir ebenfalls unbekannt.„Freedom`s Door“ ist das Solo-Debüt von PETER WILSON.Wie dem auch sei...Hören wir mal,was so los ist mit dem Album!
Was höre ich hier?Ganz einfach ordentlichen Heavy-bzw. Hard Rock der Marke USA.Aber ist das nur bei mir so oder empfinde ich anders:Diese Art wirkt auf mich immer etwas schwergängig...Was nun nicht bedeutet,dass das ganze schlecht ist!Das Material ist schon interessant.
Kommen wir zu der Stimme!Die Stimme des PETER WILSON finde ich schon gut!Singen kann der Mann,der facettenreich um die Ecke kommt und von agressiv bis zart seine Stimme einzusetzen weiß!
Der Gitarrensound-und das fällt mir auf-zieht sich wie Roter Faden durch das Album.Das ist auch ok.Überzeugt mich aber nicht unbedingt in der Gesamtheit mit Sound und Ideen!
Ein Solo-Debüt, das mehr als "nur" OK ist,aber ich denke,das da noch viel mehr rauszuholen ist.2 oder 3 Songs,die noch etwas mehr ins Ohr gehen...Und PETER WILSON startet so RICHTIG durch!Insgesamt solider Hard Rock made in USA!Ich behalte das Thema PETER WILSON im Auge bzw. im Ohr!Meinen musikalischen Horizont für mich unbekannte Künstler hat das hier mal wieder sicherlich erweitert.

Not as heavy as the Art of Illusion songs and more funky. It even has horns on it. So hard to describe music but if we try, it's a mixture between melodic rock, west coast and a little bit of pop.
We just hope that the new music will be reviewed on its own and for what it is. It's so easy to compare with our old stuff, but as a signal that it's intentionally different, we have chosen to release it under our names instead of using Art of Illusion. That doesn't mean that we will stop making melodic rock or love it any less. This album is just another exploration of our music passion and a try to grow as musicians and songwriters. Bläsersätze,Piano...
Leute...DAS klingt verdammt gut und ich möchte sogar sagen:DAS SWINGT!Ernsthaft.Ich glaube,hier haben Musiker das umgesetzt,was sie schon immer umsetzen wollten.DAS hier klingt anders...MODERN!
Besonders die angesprochenen Bläsersätze bringen das ganze Album,jeden Titel,zum STRAHLEN.Und mal ganz ehrlich:Es tut meinen Ohren echt gut.Das was ich höre,erinnert mich irgendwie an eine Band mit Namen LEVEL 42...Wird den wenigsten nur noch bekannt sein.Hier auf diesem Album fehlt nur noch die herausstechende Bassarbeit von LEVEL 42.
Hammer finde ich auch die verdammt klaren Vocals.Hinzukommen die grandiosen Backgroundvocals.Über die Gitarrenarbeit der einzelnen Gitarristen muss auch keine Worte verlieren...AUßER:HAMMER!
Das ganze Thema könnte auch ein Album aus den 80er-Jahren sein.Nur eben noch moderner angelegt und gemischt!Das hier kann ich mir auf GROßEN Bühnen vorstellen...UND das es in-und jetzt kommt es-in Diskotheken gespielt wird.Das ist so RICHTIGE GUTE LAUNE Musik.Die kannst du immer und überall hören.

Compared to the likes of ZZ Top, All Fired Up takes inspiration from the rich history of southern rock, as well as the surrounding culture frontman Michael Matney was raised in.
The music is as influenced by Matney’s musical heroes as it is his farm life, faith, and the demons of his past. Having overcome immense personal struggles, Michael was brought back to the straight and narrow through music and his faith. Now, he hopes to connect with those struggling through similar battles to show them that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
The track All Fired Up is produced by Stevie Salas who also co-wrote the single and provided lead guitar. The multi-platinum producer has had gold records for musicians like Justin Timberlake and Mick Jagger, and also executive produced the documentary ‘Rumble: The Indians Who Rocked the World’ which won the Special Jury Award for Masterful Storytelling at the Sundance Film Festival in 2017.
The name Michael Matney is a hit for members of the underground post-punk scene, as well as Southern Rock. His earlier act White Boy and The Average Rat Band has become a cult hit with record collectors and post-punk-heads, with original pressings of their albums going for more than $1000 each. Fans of Southern Rock may recognise him from his time as guitarist for music icon David Alan Coe.
The band received critical acclaim for their work, with their last album being described as “(possibly the last) entry in the Greatest Post-Punk Albums Nobody’s Ever Heard” by LA Record, and something “every fan of post punk and proto-metal would have [topping] their want-list.” by The ROCKPIT.
Michael Matney has also performed in legendary clubs the States over as David Alan Coe’s guitarist.

Naja...ist ok,was ich höre.Flotter Southern Rock.
Flotter Southern Rock.Aber ok für mich.Die Ideen sind gut.Das klingt sehr eigenständig.Ich kann mir vorstellen,während der Autofahrt dieses Album zu hören.
Nur...DAS war es dann auch für mich.Das ganze ist nicht schlecht.Allerdings haut mich das ganze auch nicht wirklich um.Das,was mir besonders gefällt...Die Titel klingen rotzig und frech.So frei nach dem Motto:Ich mach mein Ding!Das find ich auch gut.Mir fehlt allerdings so der RICHTIGE Knaller...Das wirkliche Highlight.
UND LEIDER...die Gitarren finde ich etwas "wild"...unkoordiniert...?
Ich will jetzt nicht sagen,das sich jeder Song anhört wie der nächste...ABER bei 3 x durchhören wusste ich was beim nächsten Titel kommt.Was ich damit sagen will:Mir fehlen die ÜBERRASCHUNGEN,dieses GEWISSE ETWAS...
Man kann es hören...Nett-mehr aber auch nicht!

Since 2014, Junkyard Drive has been determined to be the band that provides the soundtrack to life in the fast lane with the audience as passengers. Every time! With three critically acclaimed albums, lots of concerts and tours in most of the world, they have tried more than most Danish rock bands. Now their fourth album is on the way, and the goal has changed.
On “Look At Me Now”, Junkyard Drive rolls out ten high-octane rock tracks, delivered with flair, precision and lots of energy. One is tempted to say renewed energy, because even though Junkyard Drive are largely recognizable on the ten tracks that will be released in April, it is in many ways a changed band that delivers them. A few changes in the line-up and a much-needed look inside the internal relationships have restored focus and renewed the joy of playing. “Look At Me Now” welcomes two new guitarists: Oliver Hartmann and Kristoffer Kristensen. Both come with experience from genres other than rock, and that brings new ideas to the table during the songwriting process.
“Since we released “Electric Love” in 2022, we have gone through a process that can be heard in the new tracks”, lead singer Kristian Johansen offers. “We are tired of rock music always being put in the booth with draft beer and festivity. We want to show that rock music can develop and that it can contain sensitivity and depth. That’s why we had to go inside ourselves, to write texts that were more honest and that have something more at heart. When you go into yourself, you also have to come face to face with your own weaknesses. It can be a hard, but also very learning process. We have experienced that it has also taken a toll on the band’s internal relationships as you go through topics that can be tough, but we are incredibly proud to have gone through the process, because the lyrics and sound we have created have more layers than we have previously performed”.
“Look At Me Now” was produced by Soren Andersen (Glenn Hughes, Thundermother) and will be released in LP (black and red vinyl editions, the latter being limited to 500 units) CD and digital formats on April 12th, 2024.

Die Songs sind schon energieggeladen...
Das mittlerweile VIERTE ALBUM birgt nicht so viele Überraschungen.Vielmehr aber die Dynamik und die Energier,finde ich,kommt besser rüber,als bei den Vorgänger-Alben.Ich finde das RICHTIG gut,denn die ERSTEN 3 Alben...wirkten nicht so.Grundsätzlich sage ich aber:Dieser Classic Rock auf retro kommt gut rüber und macht gute Laune.Manche Songs erinnern mich streckenweise an DANKO JONES und D-A-D,die aber in keinster Weise kopiert werden.Insgesamt gehört wird das Material auf der Bühne gut abrocken bzw. rüberkommen!Mich würde es daher nicht wundern,wenn diese dänische Band ebenfalls oft LIVE am Start sein wird.
Songs wie Black Wolf oder Tearaway könnten auch im Radio gut funktionieren.Radio unterstützt schon viel...Besonders Karrieren relativ unbekannter Bands.AIRPLAY ist wichtiger denn je in der heutigen Zeit bzw. war es schon immer.DAS sollte man meiner Meinung beim schreiben von Songs NIE vergessen.Irgendwas raushauen bringt einen nicht weiter.
Dieses Album KÖNNTE dafür sorgen,das die Jungs nun so RICHTIG durchstarten können!

In April 2024, the world will be a bit less shitty, as KICKIN VALENTINA will release their fourth full-length album titled “Star Spangled Fist Fight”. Ten bullets of loud, unapologetic rock’n’roll are fired aiming the hearts and jugulars of all hard rock fans with a sleaze rock fallout. And, with an almost cynical precision, the four guys in Kickin Valentina, knock each and every one of us with catchy choruses, indecently strong riffs and a sexy rhythm groove that’s almost pornographic.
Once again, the album was produced by Andy Reilly (UFO, Bruce Dickinson, Cradle of Filth) at Muse Productions in Atlanta, and mastered by Joel Wanasek. “It’s been way too long since our last album, and we are really excited about “Star Spangled Fist Fight.””, bassist Chris Taylor states. “I know every band says this, but I think this is our best album so far. Everything just seemed to click while we were writing it”.
Kickin Valentina still plays the proverbial loud unapologetic rock’n’roll in 2024, as the band enters the second decade of its existence. Except that “Star Spangled Fist Fight” is a bit louder and a bit more unapologetic.
Formed in 2013, the Americans quickly gained attention in the U.S. and abroad. They were immediately picked up by Atlanta-based indie label Highway 9 Records and released their debut self-titled EP in October 2013. In August 2015 Kickin Valentina signed with Danish hard rock/metal label Mighty Music, and has released since then three successful full-length albums - “Super Atomic,” “Imaginary Creatures,” “Revenge of Rock” - and an EP titled “Chaos in Copenhagen” to rave reviews around the world.
Their album “Imaginary Creatures” debuted on 5 different Billboard charts (Heatseeker Albums #16, Heatseekers South Atlantic #5, Independent Albums #30, Hard Rock Album Sales #11, and Rock Album Sales #42), and the single “Crazy” reached #15 on the Danish iTunes rock charts. “Revenge of Rock” debuted at #6 on the Danish vinyl chart, and “Chaos in Copenhagen” debuted at #27 on Denmark’s top 100 album sales chart.
“Star Spangled Fist Fight” will be released on LP (black vinyl, limited to 500 copies), digipack CD and digital formats via Mighty Music on April 19th, 2024.

Heavy Rock!PLUS Sleaze und Glam Metal!SO beschreibe ich KICKIN VALENTINA.Und genau DAS trifft den RICHTIGEN,musikalischen Kern / Punkt wie die Faust auf´s Auge!
Live durfte ich sie noch nicht "erleben"...Aber wozu gibt es das Internet...DAS GROßE "Trallala" auf der Bühne mit Masken,Schminke und Kostümen brauchen die Jungs nicht,Auf der Bühne wird gerockt.Man überzeugt lieber mit dem musikalischen Können.Uns genau das finde ich auch gut.Und sie rocken auch auf dem Album RICHTIG gut ab,was ebenfalls sehr gut zur geltung kommt.Aber das "Abrocken"...das steckt eh schon von jeher in der DNA dieser Band,die meiner Meinung nach Album für Album erwachsener geworden ist.Besonders die letzten 3 Alben inkl. diesem hier gefielen mir ausnahmslos gut!
Auch das Material des vorliegenden Albums zündet und knallt.Beispielsweise Songs wie Fire Back', oder wie 'Takin A Ride' oder 'Ride Or Die' bleiben im Kopf,und lassen den Nacken nicht zu Ruhe kommen.UND,wie ich finde,ist das Material so angelegt,um auch von diversen Radiostationen in Schleife gespielt werden zu können!Und nochmal:Airplay ist einfach WICHTIG!Liebe Bands...mal drüber nachdenken 😉
Riffs,Grooves,Dreck und Rotz, einprägsame Hooks und stets cooler und rauer Gesang.DAS macht diese Band aus.

TYGERS OF PAN TANG - Live Blood

Mighty Music are proud to announce the release of a live album by the TYGERS OF PAN TANG, to be called “Live Blood”. Stalwarts of the NWOBHM, the Tygers are currently celebrating eight years with Mighty Music during which time they have released three well received new albums, the most recent of which “Bloodlines”, was met with universal critical acclaim in 2023. The band, with guitarist Robb Weir at the helm, along with long-serving members Jack Meille (vocals) and Craig Ellis (drums), includes their two new recruits for “Bloodlines”: guitarist Francesco Marras and bass player Huw Holding. “Live Blood” includes material from across the band’s career, including songs from their first four albums with MCA Records plus their last four albums of new material.
Jack Meille comments: “Recording a live album after all this time with the Tygers? I never thought I would experience it but with the Tygers Of Pan Tang I have learnt that the “impossible” is possible. “Live Blood” captures all the energy we deliver while playing our favourite songs live and raw!”.
The recording was made at The Patriot venue in Wales UK during the summer of 2023 and will arrive as a single CD and a double vinyl featuring additional tracks. The album will be preceded by the release of two singles: the live favourite “Gangland” from their legendary “Spellbound” album and the hidden gem “Keeping Me Alive” from “Ambush”.
We will leave the final word with Robb Weir: “Every time we play a show we are asked when we are going to record a new live album. Our live show adds a new dimension to the old songs and allows us to stretch out a bit on the newer numbers”.
“Live Blood” will be released on double LP (black vinyl, including three exclusive bonus tracks), CD and digital formats on April 26th, 2024 via Mighty Music.

Seit den Achtzigerjahren,mit diversen Auszeiten und vielen Line-Up-Wechseln,ist diese Band auch heutzutage immer noch unterwegs.Die NWOBHM-Fahne weht also weiter im Wind.Was ich persönlich RICHTIG gut finde.Die Szene braucht Bands wie diese und z.b. SAXON weiterhin-da würde sonst was fehlen!
Mit diesem Album hier veröffentlichen die Herrschafften am 26. April 2024 ein Mitschnitt ihres Konzertes aus dem walisischen Club „The Patriot“,das im Sommer 2023 während der Promotion ihres „Bloodlines“-Longplayers mitgeschnitten wurde.
Was wird auf diesen Album dem Hörer und Fan geboten?Eine ausgewogener Mischung aus alten und neuen Klassikern.Ein Querschnitt würde ich mal sagen.Mich persönlich hat die Atmosphäre auf dem Album nicht so gepackt.Warum auch immer...Allerdings ist der Sound ganz gut.Da hab ich schon wesendlich schlechtere Live-Alben gehört!Ich glaub,man kann das Gefühl besser "fassen",wenn man LIVE vor Ort war bzw. ist!
Grundsätzlich ein gutes LIVE-Album einer guten Band,die mich leider nie so wirklich musikalisch überzeugen konnte!

Was ist den hier los?
Ein Vanden Plas-Album,das ich mal mag?Dass ich das nochmal erleben darf ;)Bisher fand ich das Material in der Vergangenheit ganz gut-mehr aber auch nicht.Liegt das vielleicht auch daran,das ein gewisser Alessandro Del Vecchio jetzt "mitmischt"?Das klingt hier für mich bzw. für meine Ohren wie eine "musikalische Frischzellen-Kur".
Melodie, metallischen und epischen Sound...DAS konnte die Band schon immer-irgendwie!Aber jetzt klingen die Songs irgendwie dynamischer und interessanter auf mich.Woran das wohl liegt....?
Für mich war diese Band immer nur eine Band von vielen...Aber mit diesem Album kann man ENDLICH mal für Aufsehen sorgen.National wie International.Hoffendlich nutzt man das mal.Denn Grundsätzlich war das Material wie o.g. "nur gut"!Mit diesem Album geht man für mein Empfinden 5 Schritte vorwärts!
Auch,wenn das scheibchen nur 6 Songs beinhaltet...DIESE gehen aber ab und bieten dem Hörer sehr viel.Besonders die angesprochene Dynamik kommt gut!
Insgesamt drücke ich es mal so aus:Manche Diamanten müssen erstmal-verteilt über Jahre-RICHTIG geschliffen werden,bevor sie RICHTIG zur GELTUNG kommen!
